8/11/2009 | Mwebers | 5/5 | Awesome card! COD WAW played alot better, wish I could have kept it... Only advice I have is, if you want an edge in online gaming pick 1 of these cards up! |
8/11/2009 | ezra_metal | 5/5 | Awesome motherboard with lots of features. Overclocking is easy with many options in the bios. Fine tuning my overclock setting is even easier. The passive motherboard heatsink helps keep the sound level low. The red glow is a plus and looks cool. Just a great board to work with. And looks good with and open side panel. |

7/24/2009 | Elw00t | 4/5 | Very good product. All games that i played were amazing, and i did portal, l4d, crysis *and it did crash a few times*, counter strike. They all looked fantastic. This was so good it impressed my father, and he hates games. The biggest problem i found is that the glasses hurt to wear at the point where they hit above the ears after waring for a while. I highly recommend this for everyone, ill be buying a kit. |
7/24/2009 | Michael1991play1 | 4/5 | This card did in fact increase my frame rates a little, but I would not consider buying this card unless 90% of my games had to be played online. Overall this is a good card if you play a lot of games online and have the money to pay $150 for a card that will give you a couple more FPS, but for the price, I don't think that it is worth it, just for a couple extra features over standard onboard Ethernet. |
7/24/2009 | Radical Reg | 0/5 | Received the card and had no problems with the installation. I had troubles with my ISP and am currently waiting for them to put a new line into my house. Because of this I could not properly test the card. Sorry EVGA. |
7/21/2009 | 0Kr0N1k | 4/5 | The NVIDIA 3D Vision system is the first evolution of what looks to be a very promising product from NVIDIA. The games that I tested the product with are: Zeno Clash, World In Conflict, Crysis: Warhead, Kane and Lynch: Dead Men, Far Cry 2, and Fallout 3. In the majority of titles, the system added definite depth to the game. Proper depth adjustment is definitely critical for the best experience, and the glasses do take some getting used to. Perhaps the most annoying issue I had with the glasses was a flicker that appeared to come from the active shutters in the glasses, and happened seemingly randomly, but at least several times per minute. I don't know if this was a driver issue or something I improperly configured with the hardware, but it definitely detracted from the product. This issue was present in all of the different driver versions I tried from NVIDIA's website and on Windows 7 build 7100 and Vista. Framerate drops occurred, but the only game that took a vast performance hit was Crysis: Warhead, where the game required lowering the graphics settings to be playable. Everything else played nicely, and it was visible in some games much more than others. Zeno Clash was probably the most pronounced title with the 3D effects and it made the game extremely fun. I wouldn't spend the coin required on the glasses just yet, but the system shows definite promise, and I'm looking forward to round 2. 7/21/2009 | dredb | 4/5 | I want to thank EVGA for having the opportunity to review new and fun products. First Impressions on the monitor was WOW.... Unboxed all the goodies and set the monitor up on my desk and noticed that the first thing it reminded me of was a bobble head doll. Really Samsung?? A weak stand for such an expensive monitor?? Well that’s what a good VESA mount is for. Other than that its Bright and crisp, but personally I would not fork out that much cash for it. As for the Geforce Glasses, Neat Thought and kinda cool for about the first hour then they loose the cool value.... Played Prototype, Grid, Burnout Paradise, watched a few 3D Demo movies but I feel it really took away from the games and is just more of a distraction. Again thanks EVGA and cant wait to see want's next. Thanks, Dredb |
7/17/2009 | 20190379718219 | 4/5 | Pros: Great effect, very realistic Cons: Halves your fps, inconvenient to wear glasses Full video Review: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eo9nDYM7VLM |
7/17/2009 | kinshou kuma | 3/5 | When I received this board the prior tester couldn't get it to boot. I was able to get it to boot with only 2 sticks of ram but tried it out anyway. I currently own an evga x58 vanilla board and bloodrage. For OCing I use my bloodrage so that what I comnpared it to. I cannot give it a fair review since it was defective but nonetheless it is an impressive board with lots of features and very stable considering the specific one I had. Would i put down over $400usd for it, no since my bloodrage managed the same oc with only slightly more voltages. This time around ocing i7's really depends on the chip you have and not so much the board :/ |
