FAQ

What does the 5D post code mean?

Last Update: 2010/08/04

Most of the time that you get the 5D post code it would mean that you have the graphics card installed into the incorrect PCI-e port. The Primary PCI-e port will be the PCI-e port closest to the CPU.

If you get this post code and have a card installed into the PCI-e port closest to the processor as well as another PCI-e slot this would indicate that either the primary PCI-e port is not functioning OR that the video card in that port was not functioning. It would be recommended to try the other video card in the secondary slot in the primary slot to see if you still get this post code.

If you need further assistance with the 5D post code, feel free to contact EVGA.
