FAQ

What USB CD/DVD drives have been tested with PCoIP zero clients?

Last Update: 2013/11/21

Answer:
*** It is important to confirm successful operation of any USB CD/DVD drives in your specific VDI environment before selecting a drive for your deployment. ***
Due to the vast number of CD/DVD drives available on the market, only a few drives are used for testing. The following table is a sample of CD/DVD drives that have been tested as mass storage devices on PCoIP zero clients.
*** The lists below does not preclude operation of additional CD/DVD drives nor is it an endorsement of any product.
Firmware 4.0.0 and newer.
In firmware 4.0.0, EHCI functionality greatly increased compatibility with currently manufactured DVD brands.
The following DVD models have been tested successfully with EHCI enabled (EHCI is enabled by default).
Note: If a CD/DVD drive does not work in your environment, consider attaching the drive to an external power supply such as a USB powered hub or wall outlet (strongly recommended) and test again.
