When I login to my VM I get a blank screen or lose signal to the monitor.

If you are running a single display configuration, the client requires you to plug into the primary DVI port on the client in order to function. 

PD02 -  The bottom DVI is the primary port.

When only using 1 display it is required for the monitor connection to be plugged into this port. In a dual display configuration this does not apply as you can change the display topology to set what you wish for each display.

If the issue still persists, please remove any adapters, converters, extensions or KVM switches and run a dedicated DVI cable to the client for testing.
