Many times a monitors EDID or extended display identification data can be lost when using adapters. When using the UV+ are you using any adapters from VGA to DVI? DVI to VGA? DVI to HDMI? If so, try disconnecting them and connecting to the monitor directly if possible. If you are using a docking station or USB hub, this can also garble the EDID signal. Try connecting directly into you PC or Laptop. If you are still experiencing issues, double check with your monitor's manufacturer to make sure the resolution you are trying to acheive is compatible with your monitor.
