A blinking blue light on any x58 motherboard, could be indicating a power problem.  Testing with another power supply is recommended.  If you do not have another power supply, you can use a power supply tester.   This could also be caused if the 24 or 8 pin connectors are loose.  Make certian the connectors are firmly seated and the latches have locked into place.
