Post 2A will indicate that memory is present but not in the primary slots. 

The primary slots (1 and 3) must be occupied first. Please be aware that these are the non-black slots on the motherboard.

2A may also be related to a video card issue. If possible try another video card in the system, or move the graphics card to another slot to see if this helps resolve the issue.
