What do the LED lights on the back of the GTX 295 indicate?

Last Update: 2009/05/09

With the GTX295 you will notice that there will be status lights on both the top of the graphics cards as well as the bracket with the DVI connectors, these will indicate what the status of the card is and will assist you in troubleshooting the graphics card.

GREEN: This will indicate that the card is seated correctly as well as properly powered.

BLUE: This will indicate that the card has a primary display connected to the graphics card.

AMBER: This generally will indicate that the card is not seated correctly, if you do receive this light try to reseat the card to ensure that this is properly seated and screwed in tight to the case.

RED: This will indicate a power issue with the graphics card either the card is not receiving the proper power or in some cases could indicate a fault with the power supply. Try to test using a different power supply or different power connectors also if you are using any adapters for power with either the 6 pin or 8 pin try removing these as well and providing the card with direct connections from the power supply.
