FAQ

I recently purchased an EVGA GeForce 9800GT graphics card. After installing the latest drivers I am unable to display anything greater than 800x600 and 4 bit color.

Last Update: 2008/10/14

If you are unable to display anything greater than an 800 x 600 resolution with 4 bit color first verify that you are running the latest service pack for your operating system.  The latest display drivers are designed to run with the updates and hotfixes contained in the latest service pack for your operating system.  Once the operating system is updated uninstall the current display drivers on the machine and reinstall the latest display drivers from www.evga.com/support/drivers.

If the machine was previously running a differnt graphics card, or has onboard video, make sure that the previously display drivers are uninstalled.  If the machine has onboard video, make sure that the onboard video is disabled through device manager.
