FAQ

Why is a molex to SATA adapter insufficient to power the EVGA NU Audio card?

Last Update: 2019/02/06

The EVGA NU Audio card requires a SATA power connector to be firmly seated to the SATA power plug at the rear of the card. The NU Audio card requires a native SATA connector as it draws some of it's power from the 3.3 volt rail of the power supply. A molex power connector from a power supply does not carry any 3.3 volt current and thus will not power the NU Audio card, even if using an adapter.

If you experience any issues with your NU Audio card, we recommend following the troubleshooting instructions linked here: http://www.evga.com/support/faq/?f=59759. Or contacting our technical support team at 1-888-881-3842 or e-mail us at support@evga.com.
