How do I configure RAID using M.2 on the EVGA Z170 or Z270 Motherboards?

Last Update: 2017/12/10

Before starting, download the latest Intel Rapid Storage Driver and save it to a USB drive for later. You can find this on our download page HERE.

- Under Advanced, go to Onboard Device Configuration, and enable all M.2 Sockets.

- Under Boot, set Boot Mode Select to UEFI, then under CSM Configuration set CSM Support to Disabled.

- Go back to Advanced, and set SATA Mode Selection to RAID.

- Save and Exit, then boot back to UEFI.

- Back under Advanced, go to Intel Rapid Storage Technology and select Create RAID Volume.

- Configure your RAID settings and select the appropriate drives.

- Install Windows, and if your RAID is not an option to install to, chose the Load Driver option, and chose the Intel Rapid Storage Driver from your USB drive.

- Chose your RAID drive, and finish installing Windows.
