How do I set up the EVGA Display Port Hub on a Surface Pro 3 or other supported device?

Last Update: 2016/12/22

To use the tablet screen +2 other displays, first plug in the Hub to your Display port output on your Surface Pro 3*. With 2 displays connected to the Hub you will notice the screens will go black temporarily. Open your Change Resolution option in Windows and select the 1/2 display then change it to "Extend" and apply and accept the change.

To use 3 separate displays with the tablet screen turned off you will need to connect all 3 displays to the Hub. Open your Change Resolution option in Windows and select one of the 3 connected Hub displays and make that your primary or main display. After the primary display has been changed from the tablet you can now select the tablet display and choose the option to disconnect the display. Your tablet display will now turn off and your Hub displays will all be on.

If the orientation of your monitors is not the way you would like you can hit the "Identify" button and click and drag the monitors around in the options to position them to your liking. Remember to apply an accept changes you make to any setting.

Please note:

* The Surface Pro 3: I3, I5 and I7 all use a Haswell Intel processor that has support of up to three monitors total including the tablet display. All of the prior versions of the surface tablet will use an Ivy bridge Intel processor that only has support for 2 monitors total including the tablet display.
