FAQ

Non-video card PCIe 2.0 cards and PCIe 3.0 slots

Last Update: 2015/08/30

When installing a non-video card PCIe 2.0 card such as a PCIe hard drive, network card, RAID card, etc., you will likely need to install the PCIe 2.0 card in a slot that does not use a PLX chip. Not all motherboards have a PLX chip, so check the motherboard manual or contact support @ 888-881-3842 to find out which if your board does, and if so what slots are controlled by the PLX chip.
