FAQ

I am getting the error on my Tegra Note: "Unfortunately, Settings has stopped working", and I cannot access Settings.

Last Update: 2014/06/17

To fix this error, you will need to remove the SD card from the SD card slot then perform a factory reset. If you fail to remove the SD card first, the factory reset may have no effect on the problem.

To do a factory reset, turn off the tablet, then hold down the power & volume up buttons at the same time. It should boot up to a menu. Use the volume buttons to navigate down to the Recovery option and press the power button. A screen with the Android logo should appear with the words "No Command". Press then release the power and volume up buttons again to bring up another menu. Scroll down to "Wipe data/factory reset" and press the power button, then scroll down to "Yes - delete all user date" and press the power button again. This will wipe all your data and reset the Tegra Note 7 to the original factory settings. Once done, restart the tablet with the power button, and it should boot up normally, and allow you in to the Settings menu.
