FAQ

Why do I lose my video at log-in on my Mac using OS X Lion after I install the drivers for my UV+?

Last Update: 2015/11/22

If you cannot get to your log-in screen after installing the drivers for your UV+ please follow these steps to resolve it.

  1. Go into safe-mode and uninstall the drivers.  You can get into safe-mode by turning off the system by pressing the power button for more than 5 seconds. Then during the reboot hold down the shift key for approximately a minute, this will invoke a safe boot. Entering safe-mode will take longer than a normal boot.
  2. Go to System Preferences-> Energy Saver and select "Higher Performance" under Graphics.
  3. Log out and then back in to the OS normally.
  4. Install the UV+ drivers from evga.com.
  5. Reboot the system.
  6. Attach the UV+ to the system.  Now it will work correctly.
  • Note: It may be neccessary to get the beta drivers from DisplayLink directly.  Please see the link below to the Mac drivers at DisplayLink's site.
