FAQ

The Mic on my EVGA Interview shows enabled, but it does not pic up my voice. How do I resolve?

Last Update: 2010/05/03

The mic on this device is smaller and does require to have Microphone boost enabled.  Also, please make sure the mic hole is not obstructed by anything, even the original packing plastic.

If you are using a motherboard with a Realtek Audio controller please follow the steps below.

1.  Open the Control Panel, then open the Realtek Audio Control Panel.

2.  Select the Mixer Tab, in the Playback segment below, look to the lower right of that section, click the right arrow until you see the Mic Volume option and press the .. box circled below.

3.  Click the Checkbox for Mic Boost, the click the OK button.  From here you can close out the Realtek Audio Control Panel.

If you are NOT using Realtek, it can also be accessed through the Sound and Audio devices section

1.  Open Control Panel, then Sound and Audio devices

2.  Select Voice Tab and select the volume button under Voice Playback

3.  Locate Mic Volume, click Advanced.  When the next window opens, check Microphone boost under Other controls and click Close.
