Q: How long is the warranty period for the SC17?
A: The SC17 has a 2 year warranty.

Q: Can I purchase an extended warranty for the SC17?
A: No, the extended warranty option is not available for the SC17.

Q: How do I send my SC17 in for warranty service?
A: It is recommended you retain the retail box for RMA purposes, as we do not provide a box to return the SC17 with. Place the laptop inside the retail box, and place this inside another box with adequate protection. If you do not have your retail box, many shippers have laptop shipping boxes available for purchase. The SC17 must be returned to factory condition with all it's original parts, including the AC charger. Any aftermarket parts sent with your SC17 may not be returned, and a fee may be charged for any missing parts. Be sure to back up your data before sending in your SC17 to us, as any data may be lost. EVGA is not responsible for lost or corrupt data.

Q: Can I do a Cross Ship or Advanced RMA replacement for my SC17?
A: No. Only the Standard RMA option is available for the SC17.

Q: I modified my SC17 case physically, does this void my warranty?
A: Any physical modification to the SC17 may either void your warranty or incur a fee for repair.

Q: I put stickers on my SC17, does that void my warranty?
A: In general, placing stickers on your SC17 will not void your warranty unless they are the cause of failure for the SC17. It is recommended that any stickers, labels, or wraps be removed from the SC17 before sending it in for warranty, as they may be removed during warranty repair, or lost if the SC17 is replaced with a different unit. EVGA is not responsible for lost or damaged stickers during the warranty process.

Please keep any factory parts removed, as the SC17 will need to be returned to factory condition for warranty service.

Q: Can I install a different operating system than what comes on the SC17 without voiding my warranty?
A: Yes, you can install a different operating system if you wish. Do keep in mind that the system will need to be returned too factory condition for warranty service.
