Ya had me wonderin' there for a minute

OP: Which tools are you using to evaluate/extract BIOS?  I'm popping my second SC in tonight and can check both if you like.

Why not add to the list which BIOS versions are working with voltage tweakers, as clearly some are not.

I've tried all BIOS versions, and all of them work with MSI Afterburner. It's cool to see how each BIOS actually has a different max. allowed voltage level too. The FTW BIOS really lets you crank up the heat, if you choose to do it.

not with 70.00.21.00.80 it won't, at least with mine it doesn't and believe you me I've tried 6 ways from Sunday with both AB 1.60 B5 and Nvidia Inspector.

Sorry, the Vanilla BIOS is the only one I haven't tried for obvious reasons. Step up to an SC BIOS, and it will be unlocked. If it's not, you have another issue going on.

FYI my card is a SC, not sure why it would contain a vanilla BIOS though. No does the nibitor bios editing app do flashing too or do I need something else?

Oh wow, you're all screwed up. One of my SC's came the exact same way, with a Vanilla BIOS, but I was still able to adjust voltage with mine, and it had the exact same BIOS that yours has now (.80).

I highly suggest you contact Jacob, and let him know what's going on with your card, and keep a record of your correspondence with him. He should send you an iso file that you burn to a disc, and flash your card with to a proper .82 SC BIOS. I say keep a record because they screwed up here, and if anything happens to your card while flashing, they will have to take care of it. Either way, contact Jacob for sure. That's what I did, and he took care of me.

FYI my card is a SC, not sure why it would contain a vanilla BIOS though.

    I'm on it, thanks.

cool.it wouldn't surprise me tho if i got some mutated bios it would be my luck . When compared what are the differneces between the 70.00.1a.00.82 and the 70.00.21.00.82 bios sets?

if i remember 70.00.21.00.82 Voltage 1.036, 70.00.1A.00.82, Voltage 1.012 and it think they did a fan speed change as well.

So why not use the gpu-z database that the program submits directly to for "collecting" different bios?

For all those that have PM'd me, I will put the BIOS up for the OP when I can, I'm not at the machine that has my card right now.

I didn't really notice any difference between the 1A and the 21 BIOS. Now, what I *did* notice a difference with was the FTW 1A BIOS. My cards are running almost 10C cooler under load, and with the higher stock clocks of the FTW.

people have to submit those and how there listed you cant tell what version it is and some one could submit any bios under any name.
