i wonder if there is any limitation to use evga bucks on certain products [visible or invisible].
did anyone tried to purchase this item by using evga bucks?

just wondering if there are any policies/limitations for evga store about the use of evga bucks on certain products, especially when they are top-sellers...

I doubt it because you don't even get the option to enter you EVGA buck until you reach the payment screen. I ordered two 560Ti 448 Classys using my EVGA bucks and had no problems.

humm...  first, glad about your purchase!

i had a problem today trying to buy the new classified card. payment was not charged, i tried it three times but it did not work.
there is no visible problem with my card and i was wondering if it happened do to the amount of evgabucks i entered (max amount was covering a fair amount of the total cost)...

thanks for the reply, great card in deed, please post some pics when you get them if you get a change!

I would give EVGA a call about the problems you had at check out. Those guys have been very helpful to me over the last few days and are quick to answer/address any problems.

:/ no backplate :/
Why would the 480 backplate fit and not the 570/580 backplate?
How hard is it to make the exact same backplate with new text on it?
Its not like asking to make a brand new backplate for the 560 non Ti

Think I might just get a 2nd 560 Ti for now

The 480 backplate fits it because it uses the same PCB as the 480. I ordered two and will just remove/cover up the "480", but I agree a Classy plate would have been a nice touch.

I got my classy today and the backplate will fit, but you need to come up with your own way to mount it. The 480 backplate doesnt mount usings the heatsink screws like the 570/580 backplate do, it mounts to the plate that sits on top of the pcb so theres only 2 screws that you can use to mount the plate on the classy. So to mount the plate you need to get some screws, nuts and washers and mount the other holes yourself. The EK backplate would work better as it comes with screws, nuts and washers.
The heatsink on this thing is garbage though, there is about a 2mm gap between the 5 heatpipes that contact the gpu surface. I put mine in and ran occt, it maxed out at 85c on default fan speed, then mounted my Accelero twin turbo 2 and saw an instant 18c drop in load temps to 67c in occt. The default voltage was high on my card, 1.038 but it went down 0.98 without any artifacts and plays skyrim beautifully (btw the occt tests were at the same voltage). Overall I'm very happy with the card and its performance, I just thought the stock heatsink was going to of a higher caliber. Since its on a 480 pcb I would have rather had a stock 480 sink than whats on there.

Why is this thing on a 480 board? 0.o

So how is this thing benching so close to the 570? rather than showing a gap like we see between the 570 and 580?

Does anyone know if this is available in the UK yet, via any retailer? I've tried looking but can't seem to find it anywhere. Only Scan have it and that's as a pre-order (don't get me started on their "pre-orders").
Is it only available through the EVGA site? If so, how is their delivery etc.? (I couldn't find it on the site... yup I'm new here :P )
Thanks

The review that Hi Tech Legion did of this card shows exactly what you are talking about. The hsf makes terrible(partial) contact with the gpu. They take the cooler off the pcb towards the end of the video. *edit* I linked the video in my post but it doesn't show up because I don't post enough.

I ordered my classy from Newegg.

Interested in the FTW version just because of the displayport. Going to wait it out though.

Yeah the cooler sucks, I think it would have been better off with the 480 heatsink personally. Just swap the fan with one from the 570/580s. Regardless it came off after about 15min and put my Accelero TT2 on there and now its much better. I dont know what I will do if I get another since I have an mATX rig, maybe just buy 2 480 fan sinks off ebay and throw them on there. Whats everyone getting for stock voltage? Mine came in at 1.038v, does 850 at 1.05v, 800 at 0.988v but falls short and cant hit 900 at 1.1v. Kinda disappointed in the clocks of this card being a "Classified", thinking about sending it back and getting a TF3.

My card is still in UPS's hands right now, but I'd say that I'll be happy with 850mhz, and hopefully no need to bump the voltage up to achieve it.

Since these cards are using GF110(GTX570) chips, that run at a default speed of 732mhz, I think getting a 100mhz overclock is pretty good. When I first started overclocking cards, I would get extremely excited @ a 20mhz gain on anything.

My FTW came at 1.025v Default clocks

And OC's @ 1.025v to  868/1736/2200 .
I haven't tried any higher, And only did the OC to see how it compared to the 570 (single) run I had on 3dM11.
I know my version is on a diff PCB but thought I would share as a point of comparison.

Also I have decided to keep the FTW because of the Display port connector. I didn't realize that the classy was lacking this.

Thanks a bunch for posting that, I like having other peoples results to use as a reference, even though we're using different pcb's.

As for the classified model not having a display port output, you are correct. I use a Toshiba 37" 1080p television for a monitor anyways so a display port would be wasted on my card if it had one.

*edit*
After watching another review of the classified model, I saw that the default voltage was the same as yours: 1.025v, and when they tried to push the voltage forward with the latest version of precision, the slider wouldn't go past 1.100v

Is this cards voltage locked at 1.100v in it's bios?.. or is precision just not letting the voltage go further? Maybe someone has tried increasing vtt with afterburner..

Once I get home this afternoon , I will try and see if I can push the v-core higher. I will also test with Afterburner.

Awesome! I really appreciate it.

Even if these cards have their vtt cockblocked @1.100v, it won't bother me, because I would never run with that much voltage 24/7 anyways.

Ok , I just checked with both Precision and AB.  On Precision the slider goes all the way to 1.150v but will only apply 1.100v. With AB the slider will only go to 1.100v.

Anybody have an idea on how well one will compare to 2 Way SLI GTX 275 with 896MB RAM?
I would imaging it would be as good if not better with higher VRAM.

You are awesome for taking the time to check that stuff out. I know installing/uninstalling software is boring as ****.

The fact that they've limited the vtt on this card to 1.100v shows that they're paying attention, and possibly saying "this is the highest you should safely take it".

If they set no limits on the voltage at all, we would be speculating much more on what is safe and what isn't.

It was no trouble at all.  I already had both installed so it was a quick test.
One of these days ill try and max out the OC and see what happens.
But for now everything runs so good, I have no incentive to try it

I wanted to do a water cool deal for this when it arrives since the cooler is bad, so do I just get a 480 reference full cover block?

A 480 block should work fine as long as you get a classified. I just ordered a thermalright vrm-g2 for it since it has no vrm heatsinks, hopefully that will allow it to stabilize at 1.1v.

I know I read that Amazon should get more of the Classy cards next week, but I was wondering if anyone knew if they are getting enough to fill orders?  I already have mine on backorder and am wondering now if I'll actually get my card in that batch or if I should cancel and re-order at somewhere like Newegg.com where they still have some Classy.

That heat-sink bums me out, BUT I wonder if some nice aftermarket mod will be figured out that I will later be able to do.

your best bet would be a different heatsink all together. My accelero twin Turbo 2 keeps it nice and cool, while gaming in skyrim it hits around 50c. You can find it for like $40 at some places.
