The QPI clock speed determines the available bandwidth to the CPU, System Memory, and Chipset. Raising the Bclock(Base Clock) will allow you to overclock the CPU similar to increasing the FSB (Front Side Bus), however in doing this you may need to adjust the QPI Link and voltages to achieve the highest, stable overclock possible.
