Replacing a Logitech G910 with missing tooth syndrome (broken keys).
Keyboard itself is great, 'clicky' one is clicky, led's are bright, board has 0 flex, no sharp edges and good for lap users, and not very heavy.
Bad. box experience; Box looks nice but after opening the thrill is lost, nothing but a keyboard folded and weaved into black painted cardboard and a info card (mine had wedged under one of the stickon feet on bottom of keyboard so now the foot wont stay stuck).
Bad. Software; Oh my what a mess, great idea of making the keyboard actually store the commands but the keyboard randomly forgets all it memory and the software don't keep track so you have to reprogram the keys once and a while. Plus the software is so buggy and slow its painful to use. Just hoping it gets better.
Bad. Cable; wow, might be able to tow a light car with it. Yes its 2 USB3 and an audio in it but it don't flex (you will notice it when you try and get it out of the box) then its wrapped in the heavy cloth, Soft flexible silicone cable would have been better but cloth wrapped sells better.
Update
Contacted EVGA as most of my feet have fallen off starting with the one that was stuck to the card in the box. The only thing they would do is replace the keyboard completely which is a waste and means I would be without for weeks. So I refused that and it's been commando sense. Also now one key the number pad 'ENTER' key no longer works, the led does but not the switch.
One Positive is the software has been updated and has become much more reliable.
I had been trying out new keyboards since i finally opted to stray from my razer blackwidow, and wanted to see what EVGA's clicky optical mechanical switches felt like. They do have a satisfying click to them, but there isnt much feedback from the key itself. This is great for gaming as you can get great response from the keys, but a little less comfortable for me as im used to MX blues or Razer Greens. This strong point is even better with the 4k polling rate, and low latency reported by Rtings review, where it competes well with other more experienced brands in this space.
Build quality feels solid, and while it isnt super nicely textured in my eyes its sturdy. There is a headphone passthrough which i used to love (i just got a different adapter on my desk now) and usb 2.0 port for a mouse or controller.
The very disappointing factor for me is the keycaps themselves, they feel very cheap / "glossy". The textured ones look cool but feel horrid since they only are half textured. I bought some horizon skylights from drop.com and the keyboard now looks much cooler and feels way better to type on. EVGA needs to fix this in later revisions, and consider using higher quality keycaps as for 175 i would have been returning this, and even 100$ is steep with those.
Lastly, the software is very basic. Im gonna play devils advocate and say i like it. Its unobtrusive, doesnt require an account, and you load the configs onto the keyboard which means you dont need to leave it running. It could have more features and probably should for the rgb / macro enthusiasts but please keep the onboard profiles EVGA, its my favorite feature.
Other thoughts, the macro keys are nice, and while i havent played with them much yet i do like they are here. The media keys are a bit low but otherwise good. Volume wheel feels better than the blackwidow v3s. The sensor is also nice, although just a gimmick ( nice my rgb doesnt randomly stay on like some lther peripherals, but sometimes it still triggers off my chair).
Overall, i like this keyboard and plan to use it for awhile just also consider getting different keycaps for a better experience. Good first attempt EVGA, hope the next ones even better.

Likes:
-Optical-Mechanical key-switches that should outlast Electro-Mechanical switches by miles and miles
-As of the latest firmware it saves profiles and RGB effects (at least the preset ones) without needing the software running once configured
-Works on just a USB 2 port (somehow - I've had trouble in the past with 'some' RGB keyboards despite being designed for a USB 2 connection, and this plus having Optical switches is just sweet) and software is light and still updated as of writing on Windows 7
-Includes normal keycaps without bumps in the box along with a palm rest even if I don't like/use it
-Solid packaging
Dislikes:
-Some switches are less smooth than others and a bit of wobble
-RGB isn't as nice as it could be because of the off-center LED and opaque switch body
-Keycaps feels closer together than they should be due to the keys being less tapered and rounded than regular keyboards (could be solved with time or new keycaps); also, not very confident on the media keys being durable, but eah
-Could've used more macro keys like my last keyboard, but the main 5 are good enough I guess
-Not a fan of floating island keys, but it is what it is.
The software is reasonably configurable and it comes with a nice cusheon for your hands.
It is nice to type and play on it.
I had to get used to the hotkeys on the left side. I kept hitting E6 instead of CTRL. So I just made E6 be the same as CTRL :P
