Hello !

I got about 69° on the NORTHBRIDGE Temperature !
My CPU is watercooled : 40°
In the bios I see : CPU : 39°/40°   and  NB: 69° / 70° ! !
The computer never boot up twice : I explain : every time I rebboot it  I have to wait ! !
I didn't flash the bios yet !

I need some help ! I didn' get why the NB is this high !

is your n/b water or air cooled?

that temp is a little too high if the boards not been under a grphics stress test just before you looked at the Nb temp in the BIOS, its a little high even for that.

2 things to do

redo the thermal paste on the NB/SB cooler, make sure the cooler is not bent or not making good contact with the NB and SB chips.

second thing is to add a fan to the NB cooler, its supposed to be a  passive design but unless you have really really good airflow in your case a fan on the NB is needed to help the cooling, i have good airflow and i even use a fan on my NB just to be on the safe side.  my idle temps for my E759 NB is 40-45 idle, when its been under load i get up into the 50-60's (degrees C).

it's because you use WB for CPU, therefor the NB heatsink doesn't get air, so add a fan for your NB.

i just noticed the same thing for my pc...My cpu with the H50 will stay in the 30's but I restarted the pc and took a look at the NB temp and it was 70 ...

I have a Nzxt zero 2 case which has plenty of space and i have two fans blowing right at the MB, but i don't if their fan speed is up to par...

are their option for directly cooling the NB? besides case fans?

Do you think the fans will solve my problem and bring the temp down ??

the reason your temps are high is because the heat is not beeing pushed out of the heatsink, this is why evga put a fan on the 762, it will bring your n/b temp down.

Newegg has several items you can use depending on what you want to spend.....this one here  just use the adhesive backing to stick on top of South bridge to help overall temps plus what others have already suggested with a fan attached to the main heatsink should help alot....the southbridge has a metal emblem that comes off easily

i have an H50 also with my e760, i purchased a 20x20x10 fan from Frozencpu, 7cfm. i had it sleeved and shrinkwrapped through them and it works beautiful dropped temps by a LARGE ammount.

i emailed one of the evga reps here and they said as long as it never goes higher than 80C it's good, but I 'm going to get watercooling soon so i'm not that terrified

Hello !
Thanks for all those reply !
I use 2 small fans and the T° fall from 15 / 20° C

I flashed the bios to the last version too.

After lowing T° below 60° C the boot problem disappear.

I'll buy a waterblock for the NORTHBRIDGE, so if you want to sell yours, feel free to contact me.

Regards,
Myke

I spent one year with a NB running between 70 and 80°C without any problem (I have a X58 SLI LE). Should I worry :) ?

Oh, 67-70, you don't have any prob. It is good for up to at least 90C.
Mine idles at 60 and I have a fan. I've seen 67.
Now maybe rexet_fr is approaching a prob heat, I would be concerned about >76.
