I have a few questions about some upcoming motherboards from EVGA. I know that they cant give me every detail about a product since it doesnt get released until January, but I was wondering if anyone knew the answers to a few questions. A few other MB sellers like Asus and Gigabyte have already shown off some of the SB mobo's they're working on but I havent heard anything about EVGA. In regards to the P67 (socket 1155) motherboards...

1. Will the mobo allow you to overclock a standard processor like the i7 2600?
2. Will there be a board with two PCIe x16 slots?
3. Will they feature USB 3.0?

Hmm, is sandy bridge going to have the same layout the whole time? or is just like a p55 version, and an x58 will come later?

the only thing that I really want to know is, "will all the memory slots be capable of running high speed memory? 1800mhz and beyond." lets say on the ftw boards and higher classy?

    I have a question.

I am intrigued by Sandy Bridge for my home rig.  Still rocking the 680i here so yeah...it's about time I upgraded.

While I can't see it being 'that' big of a deal as it should work just fine...but to be safe...does anyone at EVGA test your new boards w/ different OS's (in my case, FreeBSD).  I'm 1/2 a step from clicking 'buy' for a X58 build as the hardware I specified is known to work just fine...but to be honest...I'm still hesitant to purchase this tech for the simple reason the replacement is later this year (according to reports).

If EVGA SB MOBO's are compatible with various *nix OS's...I'll probably go that route as I don't need tri-SLI capabilities or other benefits of X58.

Memory speed support is generally determined by the processor. Officially Intel only supports 1066 max on existing processors but of course in most cases you can exceed that. For Intel to support far greater speeds would probably require a major memory controller rework. When Intel decides to do this is anyone's guess.

Sandy Bridge to my knowledge is dual channel memory instead of triple channel memory. I am also curious as to performance.
