Hi Jacob and forum members: I partially build my X79 Classified system today. I installed this BIOS and overclocked my machine to 4.5Ghz. However,  some of the BIOS settings changed after I booted into Windows. For example, the CPU multiplier went  from 45 to 39. Please advise.

Is EIST set to enabled or disabled in BIOS? Can you try setting your CPU Power Management settings like below:

My G-Skill 16GB  DDR3 2133mhz will not run at 2133 period like it did with the 29 bios and will give me a BSOD if I set it to 2133mhz but will run at 1866mhz. I think I will just stick to the 29 bios for now. It didn't matter what voltages where set at all either.

Hello again Jacob----I am up and running at 4.5GHz at great temps with my Haf-X case. The BIOS page you showed me is different that the BIOS 32 I have. I reloaded BIOS 29, and then reloaded BIOS 32 to make sure I had BIOS 32. Well, because I was getting a red error message with the Windows Installation, my BIOS was  NOT updated. I have EIST set to Disabled. Turbo set to  Enabled. I have  the 6core ratios set to 45. There is no Pkg C  State limit.... listed. No CPU 3R, 6R  and 7R listed. Update . I have updated my to BIOS to 32 by way of the flash drive method.

    Thanks for your help.

Anyone else having issues enabling PCI-E GEN3 using HD 7970's?  When changing from GEN2 to GEN3 and saving and restarting, the monitor does not activate; its just a black screen.  While the monitor is not receiving a signal, the computer is still booting successfully into Windows; its just not showing on the screen.  Changing back to GEN2 on PORT 2A and 3A resolves the issue.

    Any ideas?

I can give you ASRock4 Extreme OZ Settings for 4.6Ghz which a quite different than what overclocking guide says here. I applied same settings from ASRock4 Extreme and it is rock stable but i had to lower clock speed a bit because of extra heating, need better cooler.

Use without VDrop and use instead of CPU fixed, Offset  +0.100, not sure if we have option add extra voltage for Turbo maybe not. Set voltage to 1.310 maybe and Multiplier 46

The CPU now always reads 85C in AIDA64 and also eVga Eleet. I fixed 85C reading by enabling the temp readout on the LCD in the bios.

This bios doesn't seem to want to remember my raid settings...  I have to go into bios on every cold boot to select the array.  It does not seem to overclock any better (or worse) than 30.  YMMV.

It's seems to have problem with PLL override... impossible to boot >4800MHz

We are having a difficult time reproducing this, what is the exact model/rev of your memory?

My G-Skill 16GB  DDR3 2133mhz will not run at 2133 period like it did with the 29 bios and will give me a BSOD if I set it to 2133mhz but will run at 1866mhz. I think I will just stick to the 29 bios for now. It didn't matter what voltages where set at all either.

We are having a difficult time reproducing this, what is the exact model/rev of your memory?

    G.SKILL Ripjaws Z Series 16GB (4 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2133 (PC3 17000) Desktop Memory Model F3-17000CL9Q-16GBZH

I would imagine he has the same memory kit that i've had, and all my troubles maybe we are on to something here?  As for the memory it's working currently fine @2133 1.65v on my new board.

    I have this G-Skill memory.

This is my model as well and I've noted, 1866 is as high as I can get it stable. 2133 causes the 67 error code at 1.6v DIMM, 1.1-1.25 VCCIO, and Auto to 1.1 VCCSA.
