With Nvidia being the first choice for video for most linux users and linux users being very loyal to manufactures that support the compatibility.  And with the limited choices of software for overclocking a graphics card in linux, I wonder why EVGA has not filled that niche.  The only thing available right now are NVClock (is just starting to support newer cards) and the Nvidia control panel and both are limited in function.  I see it as a way for EVGA to expand their sales to linux users and at the same time help linux users with better overclocking choice.  I'm not saying release an open source version, just something for use on the linux platform.  Nvidia didn't release their source code, yet most linux users still use their proprietary driver.  I'm sure this is an old subject, but I wanted to bring it up again.

I don't have an answer for you completely. Unwinder who makes Riva Tuner also makes EVGA Precision and some parts of the code might be copyrighted to Unwinder and I have no idea if he would want that open sourced. I will try and research and see if I can get more info for you.

I would LOVE to see a hardware monitoring program for Linux as capable as EVGA Precision!
However, ontop of what rjohnson said, hardware communication on Linux is quite different and it is not be as easy as just "porting" the software. I don't know if Unwinder is into Linux programming...

I'm afraid that I have to disappoint you - there are almost zero chances to see that because I'm absolutely not a Linux person (actually I've never installed it and don't plan to do so). So my skills in that area are lacking.

Would be nice but definitely understandable if you're not comfortable in *nix.

"BSD is what you get when a bunch of Unix hackers sit down to try to port a Unix system to the PC. Linux is what you get when a bunch of PC hackers sit down and try to write a Unix system for the PC."

Thanks for the answer, and not just blowing it off.  Others would have just said nothing.  And since you said "almost zero" I will just take that as not zero and hope that maybe someday it might happen
