Bla, bla, bla, Jungle, not everyone alters their cards. I run all my cards stock. Therefore, all those extra incentives you just mentioned are not an issue.

Where do you get a better warranty? Zotac = Lifetime, XFX = Double Lifetime, Visiontek = Lifetime. Also, that 80% rate is internet bull****. Let's see actual numbers to back it up.

Ok Sorry if my text was "bla bla bla" to you. Evga still gives the best warranty here in Europe. I havent see any of other cards giving so long warranties, but in America, hmm maybe another story.

But if 80% rate is internet bull****, then what about "XFX = Double lifetime"? Never heard that kind of warranty How do they count that? And if I only die first time, will my kids get benefit for that, os should I live second time?
Like Penn and Teller would say, that is bull****

Double lifetime enables you to transfer the warranty to a second party. Effectively making it easier to sell the card second hand. Because, they will also get a lifetime warranty.

Well, thats a good deal.
But that is the most funniest marketing line-up that I heard for a long time. Just quickly it sounds like "50 lifetimes without chance to get the parole". I think you know what I mean.

But still to point, and I hope you also answer this, if Im bla bla bla. That site just "figured out" something, copypaste that Evga´s warranty information with those year padges, which been there loooong time. And they are still RUMOURS. And Evga still giving lifetime warranty.

You know, a lot of users have actually been asking for an EVGA double lifetime warranty for a while now. It really is not new. I guess Europe has lesser warranties?

You know, a lot of users have actually been asking for an EVGA double lifetime warranty for a while now. It really is not new. I guess Europe has lesser warranties?

I just sold my some of the comp parts, and they still have warranty even the second lifetime. Its a law.
But no one over here is not even expecting that my GTX580 should work in year 2050.
All the lifetime warranties are for north-america. Marketing.

And still, whats the news-flash with this rumour?
"All EVGA Products purchased ON or AFTER November 1, 2006 MUST be registered within 30 days from ORIGINAL DATE OF PURCHASE to receive our limited lifetime warranty." http://www.evga.com/support/warranty/
Look at the date. Its not the latest news. And I still say one thing. Evga still have lifetime warranty there in north america.

And they both have one thing, like XFX, that you have to register that card in 30 days. Now think how many of those people do NOT register in 30 days. XFX dont even include their 5970 4GB to this ONE lifetime system.
ofcourse, Evga, XFX and all those others lifetime warranties dont print all warrantysystem to the box or their commercials.

Sorry, english is not my main language.

Sitting back and thinking and plus after talking to EVGA, this is the picture I can paint:

We have no idea if the story is true or not. But the theory that limited lifetime eqals 10 real years is not true, they apparently do support LIFETIME. Now the idea of double lifetime is fantastic for 2 reasons.

1 say I have a little bit of money right now and not enough to buy a ew card, but a buddy has a card and sells me it cheap, i get the warranty. I will tell you this, even after the hiccups this evening i will still say that the first time I bought an EVGA product i was impressed and I bought their stuff ever since.

2) It might be a good way to bring in new customers. The idea that old cards will just continue to circulate is rare since people still like new stuff. This program gives buyer a chance to get more cash so their next purchase might be a superclocked EVGA card versus a vanilla card.

I hope the management can work out something will shipping and support for their products in my country. I would like to buy EVGA in the future since so far I am impressed with certain things.

Hi all,

This article has incorrect information, Lifetime and 10 year warranty's will remain the same. We will be announcing a new warranty program for some cards to come with a standard 3 year warranty, and ability to purchase extended warranty's.

Does this mean that those cards will be made cheaper? Since, you can then extend the warranty for a little extra? Like a customer friendly effort, right? Or, a more company friendly effort?

Don't know, but if the 3 year is cheaper than other company's offerings, I would jump on it. However, I am banking on the fact that this is a company cost saving move. Not something to save you and I money.

Yes, but currently the KR will be used on lower cost items.

He said "lower cost items"
Which I most likely can assume it older cards or cheaper cards like those under $150 for example.  Like the GTS 450, or the 8000/9000 series cards.
Sounds fine to me.  I however, will continue to buy EVGA just because of the customer support friendliness and a few of the perks such as easy RMA and step-up.  (yes i know not everyone cares about that, but that MY opinion.)

I agree with some of the post earlier, EVGA staff will usually try their best to work things out, some customer are being unfair and try to take advantage of the system.
IDK, maybe that just me but I work in retail and I have customer constantly asking for additional discount or money back for various reasons that are generally their fault...Example:  I had a customer a few weeks back, demanded a full refund on an anti-virus program because he caught a virus, demanded we remove the virus for him for FREE and give him a new anti-virus for ONE year FREE.
Checked his computer, there were a couple of torrent programs and download and internet history of p*rn sites....So...=/

Hi all,

My name is Gregor Perng, the Managing Director of EVGA Europe.

I am unsure where the information in this article originated from; however, it contains false information.

Firstly, EVGA’s limited lifetime warranty in the United States and 10 years limited warranty in Europe will remain.

EVGA knows that customer satisfaction is the first priority, so at CES 2011 EVGA announced a new Global standard warranty offering; 3 years limited warranty coverage for its entry level and mid-range –KR products by default (registration recommended).  Everyone knows 3 years is better than 2 years!

Additionally, extended warranties and the Step-Up program is available as an option during registration of your –KR product.

For more information please see the article link on our site at: http://www.evga.com/articles/00607/

yeah, i REALLY dont like that the step-up is now a OPTION if you buy into the extended warranty and isnt part of the initial registration!! of course, if this is aimed at all the 430's,530's,550's etc... type cards then i can understand. im sure people who buy a super low budget card like that really arent going to be looking to step-up. \m/

AR products still have stepup by default, KR now have the option to get upon registration, this is much better than previous since ONLY AR could get stepup previously.

Makes sense and this is beneficial to both the companies and the buyers.
Now those people that complain they can't step up has a choice and can only blame themselves later down the road if they ever want to step-up.

2 things though:
1) All these warranty options could get things a little muddy in the future. I love choice, but this has too many strings all over the place.

MSRP $500 and over: $60

I've never heard of a "lower cost" card that cost 500 bucks... Looks like most current KR's are 300 bucks max. Let's see if they starting adding to the KR list...

Typical trash reporting right there,EVGA actually is making the Warranty+Step Up Program EVEN BETTER and they twist a rumor into something UGLY like that site posted .

Guys, this is Kitguru. They talk more bs than semiaccurate.

This is the key!  Kitguru tried very hard to start this rumor in the hopes that people would believe it.  I'm glad EVGA squelched that rumor quickly.
