Thats weird all the issues alot of you are having i have not experienced.

my monitor is 60z refresh and i can change it as well.

My temps seems the same, possibly 1c increase if any.

Anyways I'm sure with the official release all this stuff will be fixed, for now I'm going to keep the driver since i have 0 problems and a small gain.

BFBC2 is VERY smooth with these drivers, but I still get 50% max on both cards in SLI.

Currently using

EVGA 2080 TI KingPin

Games seem to work okay. However, Vantage craps out right after the first CPU test with a black screen error. I revert back to 259.32 I'm fine all the way up to at least 850mhz on the core...Tried a clean install and still had the error.

Well, I tried these drivers without any luck. Bad Company 2 was almost unplayable using them. Severe lagg and stuttering with them.Go figure?

This driver seems to game well (tested at stock clocks), but it's having an impact on my overclocking while folding. Before I could fold with my GTX 465 core clock at 800Mhz with no issues. Using these drivers it kicks my overclock out around 30 min after I start folding. I backed the core clock down to 775Mhz and it still kicked my oc out around 30 min into folding. Will be going back to the previous drivers as my gaming wasn't bad before this driver.

EDIT: Forgot to mention the ugly part of the kicked oc. I use Afterburner to set my clocks and a static fan speed while folding. When the oc gets kicked so does my static fan speed, but the folding client keeps on working. So when I come back to my pc the temps on my cards are around 80 to 85c vs the nice 60 to 65c.

Im not having any performance issues with these drivers but in the nvidia control panel it's showing my 480 is at stock settings under system information. I have it overclocked using msi afterburner. I just want to make sure my card is actually overclocked.

I have not had any problems yet with overclocking, runs the same. Games and benchmarking run much better and the control panel displays all correct info as well. These drivers could just be single card friendly and GTX470 favored atm.

I'm not having a problem overclocking them, I get the same performance, if not better, these driver did increase my vantage score. It's just my nvidia control panel isn't displaying my overclock.

I tried them out last with my single gtx 480.Nothing special to report no performance increase no crashes,no increase in temps. It seems like it will fix mainly the issue people were having with sli performance in bfc2.I reached the same max overclock @ 875/1750/2100 with a vantage run.Ialso used the new precision 2.0 might like these drivers more?

Armyguy, I'm using that same cooler on a Q6600, @1.15V, & my temps never go past the low 50s (normally mid-40s), even folding on hot days. I'm FSB limited, because of my slow 8gigs of RAM, but still run at 3GHz to 3.2GHz, depending on the weather. I guess my point is, I agree on lowering your voltage, & take some time to figure out the BIOS settings, it might even run faster.

Hey thanks for the info. Im at work til later but i will def keep an eye on it. And yeah learning how to tweak the bios is always a plus, i should do that (even though i had this rig for now 4 years lol)

Re:260.52 DRIVER!!! 2010/09/09 09:58:55 (permalink)
I downloaded these drivers yesterday.  I have approx 10fps increase in mafia2 and possibly SC2 and cryostasis.  Performance increase is definitely there, i did'nt notice a temp increase, but i wasn't really paying attention.

Mafia2 runs at 10fps higher with high quality settings and physics.  Overall FPS still sucks with physics on, but i mean it's from a D to a C rating, which is pretty cool for a driver change.

i did get a random reboot once, however, i think it was because i reset my bios (playing with FSB OC settings).  I forgot to force PCiE clock to 100, so it probably went over and caused instability.

I don't detect any changes in benchmarking.  Only tried OCScanner test though.

I think there are some bugs as a few options in nvidia CP refuse to change/apply, but nothing that prevents major functionalities.  I can live with these bugs given the performance increase for now.

Maybe they don't want to give it to the public if it aint ready yet.

It's most likely still in Alpha phase, they'll announce it when they believe it's ready.

The drivers posted yesterday are not an official release.  NVidia had them pulled from guru3d.  I had some issues with them anyway.  It borked my NVidia Control Panel, so I couldn't enable SLI with them.  Uninstalled and went back to 258.

These drivers seem to be ok....better at Dx11 stuff.  258 feels overall better, I guess it's what you do with them that will make your decision.

They work perfect here.  I have a feeling these were build submitted for WHQL certification.  Just clean installed Windows 7 today with these and I am very happy with them.

They were not. 260.52 were the release meant to go to the labs but they found a critical bug in the OpenCL driver which killed D3D as well.
