EVGA wants to help all EVE Online players that need to upgrade their systems from an older shader model 2.0 graphics card to a brand new card capable of not only shader model 3.0, but shader model 4.0 and even DirectX 11 support for todays latest games! EVGA has selected a variety of cards to choose from that will fit any budget, any of which will be able to handle this and future EVE Online updates with ease. Imagine finally being able to run your favorite game at enthusiast settings!
If you are a current EVE Online subscriber, you will receive a coupon from a CCP EVE Online newsletter good at the EVGA US online store for 10% off any eligible part!
There are several ways to check if your product is capable of running Shader Model 3.0. CCP, the EVE Online developer, has provided a quick tool from their website. Extract the files and run the executable. A quick popup will let you know right away if you are ready for the update or not. Also, if you already have GPU-Z downloaded your shader model will be listed under "DirectX Support". It will be listed like this example: 9.0 / SM 2.0. Where 9.0 means DirectX version 9, and SM 2.0 means Shader Model 2.0.
To begin your adventures in EVE Online, you will need to create an account and install the game on your machine. Navigate to EVE Online and click the "Try EVE now" button. This will open the account creation page in a new window. No credit card information is required for you to begin enjoying your 14-day trial of EVE Online.
After you have successfully created an account you will be presented with a button to download the EVE Online client. In case you have closed that window out already, we have included buttons on this page for both Windows and Mac downloads.
If you already have an EVE Online account and just need the game client, click the appropriate button below to download the latest version of the software for your system.
