Question / Issue
I am getting Kernel Power Management or Performance Management errors in the event log with my P55, what do I do?

Answer / Solution

If you have an P55  you maybe getting Kernel Power Management errors or Performance Management errors in the event log. This can be caused by one of two reasons. Either turbo mode or speed step is disabled. If you have these disabled for a reason, such as for over clocking purposes, you can chose to ignore the errors. If you did not specifically disable these features you will want to go into the BIOS and re-enable them.

Hit delete to enter your BIOS -> Frequency/Voltage Control -> CPU Configuration -> Ensure turbo and speed step are enabled -> Press F10 to save and exit.
