| Question / Issue |
| Why is my system randomly blue screening, could it be my high performance memory? |
| Answer / Solution |
For most higher end memory, the memory manufacturers will sometimes require more voltage to the RAM channels in order for the memory to be stable. Please look at the memory itself, most manufacturers will put a sticker that shows the memory voltage. To change the memory voltage on the X58 series, Change the setting that is found in the BIOS (DEL to enter setup on boot), under Frequency/Voltage Control -> Voltage Control -> DIMM Voltage. To change the memory voltage on the P55 series, Change the setting that is found in the BIOS (DEL to enter setup on boot), under Frequency/Voltage Control -> DIMM Voltage. To change the memory voltage on the 790 series, Change the setting that is found in the BIOS (DEL to enter setup on boot), under Advanced Chipset Features -> System Voltages -> Memory. |
