disconnect the power supply and remove cmos battery wait 30min and retry, if this is a new build you might want to disassemble the system and carefully make sure that you have no shorting out.

Ooo I just looked up my old post and it seems taht this was the stuck power/reset button that caused this for me.

next step is to remove everything that is not needed for basic functions, cpu, hd, psu, use onboard vid and test. Someone else may have more info, or you can call tech support they will tell you to do this also, its allways good to remove power supply wires from the mobo to make sure they have contact but you should have done that for the reset I explained anyhow.

Good luck if that dont work give tchh support a call.

PS they will also tell you to dissasemble the system and reassemble and retest before they sujest an RMA so you may want to try that.

Sorry I could not help.

I have the same problem.  Haven't tried taking the battery out, reassembling, or anything like that.  Rafrojas, did you get your problem fixed?

I have the exact same problem, did anyone ever find a solution? The system has been built and working fine for 10 months, then one day this started out of nowhere.  I tried replacing the PSU, same symptoms. I guess next step is to remove the MB and try to power it on by itself and see if I can get a different post code than the "88".

I wrote tech support about the issue, and here's what they said:

"There are a few things that could cause this issue. First try reseating both your 8 and 24 pin power connections going to the board. Next press down on the BIOS chip of the board. This chip is located near the CMOS battery and will have a silver sticker on it saying either Phoenix or Award. If it is still not working try the board outside of the case on a non-conductive surface like cardboard or wood. This will rule out grounding issues. If it is still not working I would get the board replaced under warranty."

None of this worked for me, and so I'm getting an RMA on the board.  Since you've had the board for 10 months, you should be able to get an RMA as well.  Have you registered your board on the EVGA site?  I believe you'll have to do so before you can do an RMA.
