I noticed that most the EVGA 9800gtx+ cards I see out there are 2x 6 pin connections but mine is only 1? I ordered this one: http://tinyurl.com/ygt2fod

Did I order an older generation card? Any main differences I should be aware of?

And my other question is a reccomendation for a dependable and quiet power supply. I am only running a stock inspiron 531, I dvd drive, 1 hard drive and the aformentioned 9800gtx+ so I really have no need for lots of power. The only reason im updrading the power supply is for this card. I will not be doing any further upgrades on this particular system in the future.

I would really appreciate some reccomendations a reliable, quiet power supply that isnt to expensive. This particular card requires 450 watts and 24 amps on the +12 volt rail.

If you have a 1 6-pin connector, you have one of the newer generation cards. It uses up less power than the 2 pin ones. For a reliable power supply, check out something like this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139004

So the amperage on that PS is 41 on the +12v? Is that more than what I would need?

Mm, nope! All that stuff on your rig should pull about 450W, so 550W offers a good overhead. Corsair is an excellent company too, so you shouldn't have any problems power-supply related for the rest of the time you're using this computer. Overkill would be dropping a 1200W power supply in there. xD
