@ Jlee, The H50 is kinda pushin it for those VCore and clocks. You mentioned cooler weather, what is your ambient? Not very good to be on the verge of throttling temperatures IMO if your ambient increases you'd be at or border-lining 100C.

Thats ok, my GFlops are higher so I don't feel bad. Just makes me push my system further. Edit-Well I got to pass 5 on 4.46GHz then got an error. May have something to do with running 1600Mhz 7-7-7-20 RAM at 1700MHz 9-9-9-24. CPU VTT is already at +350. Don't think I can squeeze much more out of it. My GFlops were at 57 to which was cool. I may fiddle with it this weekend but I don't have my hopes up. What I need is a 990X and some 2000MHz RAM.

I was hoping my update wouldn't seem like some cheezy "gimme-back-my-3rd-place-standing" attempt. Anyway, I think you may be right about your ram timings. Check out this short read: http://www.evga.com/forums/fb.ashx?m=983627 ...might help you out.

You are all welcome! It's always a pleasure to help out when I can and put my skills to work for someone other than clients.
Drerex did a great job on both designs and I love the individuality of the graphic now with each members OC accomplishment, nice touch ;) And to kram36 for giving me the opportunity to help out with this. Now I just need to push this new i7 970 a bit harder than 4.23Ghz since that is really a low number comparatively, you guys and gals are pushing some insane numbers
Please feel free to PM me with anything I may be able to help a fellow member out with or a club in this case. I can always squeeze in more work somehow ;) -EVIIILJ

Need something from you guys. i'm at 4.08 so far, temps mid 60's full load, not bad at all. Anyway, I get a BSoD after it's running for a few minutes (20 or more). Where can I find a list to know what each one means? I want to stabilize that before i press on.

What was the BSOD code you got? - 101 usually (often) means you need to add a bit to the CPU Vcore (maybe 0.04V) and try again.
- 124 can be CPU VCore or CPU VTT. Try +50mV on the CPU VTT.
- 116 is normally GPU related (according to my notes from some thread).
- Hard lock / crash is usually DIMM voltage.

Yesterday my ambient was 55-60 F. Today I would guess it is about 65-70F in my room. It is still about 55F outside and i had both windows open 6 inches but i was folding while i was at work. I am about to check in my bios to see if if i can find out why my gflops were so low.

Where can I find a list to know what each one means? I want to stabilize that before i press on. Those lists mean almost nothing when you are OCing. Using that strategy will only lead you down the wrong (dead end) paths. Keep the mindset that any OC setting can cause 124, 7F, and 1E; and really just about any BSOD but the others are much less likely. I got dozens of 124s, and it was NEVER VTT that caused them. BTW you should make your own thread instead of hijacking this one - if you have any more Qs. One quick Q is fine, but this is the sort of Q that ends up being a thread.

Only seems to do it under load. BUT it has passed linx 20 passes once before. And to Halloween, i'm sorry, I thought this was about OC'in and what better place to ask than a place where everyone is overclocking?

I am only 4 or 5 test into Linx but the max. gflops is still only around 76. I lowered the cpu to 4.2 ghz to try and get that stable with some decent gflops.
