Current card is
Part Number: 01G-P3-1180-AR
Part Desc: GeForce GTX 285
GTX 560 Ti SC vs GeForce GTX 285 upgrading is it worth it?
Normally i would not upgrade but my 90 Evga bucks is burning a hole in my pocket. My intention is to use the new card for gaming. However i am planning to be folding as well. I am not able to get the 350k a month with just the 285 card. So I am wondering if it would be possible to have the 285 card on one machine and the 560 on the current machine if it would be able to pump out the points i would need for the 350k PPM both running at the same time off course. Both machines are quad core one is the i7930 the other the old quad core's but still good enough for just setting around doing nothing.
Y realize that the 570 is better and is $100 more just not sure i want to spend that much extra the wife you know has the purse strings cinched pretty tight /laugh.
Ok , maybe she isn't  so tight after all i got the go ahead for the 570. So now the question is which 570? I am thinking the 570HD SC but still want to know if i will be able to hit the 350k PPM on folding at home.
