Hi all

Yesterday this Pine XFX 6800 Ultra AGP arrived and I gave it some good cleaning treatment so here come the pics

Here some before the treatment:

And here the card totally dismantled and all the parts that came from it, lots of pieces of aluminum, lots of screws too xD and a NV40 GF6800U closup + 1 Euro Coin comparrison:

here the card init's naked PCB:

Heatsink and fan placed:

And the finishing result, the card is like new!

Anyways time to ride the beast!

Yeah this is a nice card, got it fairly cheap for 68 euro's incl insurred shipping from USA Just the card though, no box and such
So here's the good news,  the 6800 U ltra AGP runs like a dream

Here's a nice image, I compared the specs of my XFX 6800 Ultra and my EVGA GTX 580 SCE

Just cool to compare them, even being 6 years apart

I wish I still had my BFG 6800 GT OC AGP, but back then they had a promotion to trade in AGP cards for PCI-E cards and I got a free 512MB 9600 GT OC PCI-E out of it.

that's very nice for a replacement heh! Although useless if you were still using the AGP bus, Like I am with my 6800 Ultra system for example, but if you look on ebay there are plenty good AGP offerings out there :)

well at the time the promotion happened I was on a 320MB 8800 GTS PCI-E, AMD X2 4200+ 2.2Ghz system, on a Asrock Motherboard that had Both a PCI-E and AGP, I chose the board for that reason so I could change cards on a budget. The 6800 GT was just sitting on my shelf

the 512MB 9600 GT was a nice upgrade for me, because the 320MB Video Ram was limiting me on games at the time
