I looked in the article and it did not mention any restrictions concerning stepup. Please don't ask me when stepup will become available for this product because I do not know.

Woah! SBB CALM DOWN. You should be thankful EVGA is even doing this in the first place.  This is part of the reason why EVGA is #1.  How many free game promos were there for the 400 series? A lot more than other companies I'll tell you that. 

IMO Nvidia should be paying the bill on this not EVGA & Nvidia should be giving game codes out to all the 400 & now 500 series owners not EVGA IMHO!

Awesome!  Those that were 'loyal' early 400 series adopters received mafia 2 for free.  EVGA owes you nothing but what you initially paid for, stop whining.

Can't sleep at night while waiting for delivery of my new 580 URGH!

I'm very interested in running this bench.  From what I've read there have been some serious tweaks to it.  I may lose money on this deal, but I'm seriously thinking about stepping up a 480 FTW for one of these.

hmm 3D mark 2001 SE wass till the best ever made imo, all the ones that came after were very overcommercialized with hacks and such and very unprecise as scoring went because thre was always a major diff after each run, as where 2001 SE remained to be alot more precise, like 2000 Pro also was.
 
2003, 2005 and 2006 weren't bad, although they didn't have the precisest way of benching, they did look nice though, dunno what the last one was called, that one was terible lol, I prefer PC Performance Test 7 x64 Professional, this is a far better benchmarking utillity that tests everything within the system and not only the VGA part of it.
 
I also use the benchmarkign tools that come with the games, tthese still show the best how a system performs in that type oof game, you don't really need a sepperate program to show you that, it's good for the marketing but it's extreemly unprecise, as my VGA card experiences go with over 500 cards since 1994, as that goes this 3D mark has become the biggest joke or parody in VGA benchmarking history rofl.

That's why I think nvidia should be paying for the 3DMark 11 & not EVGA cause EVGA is a good kind harted co. & nvidia should be doing something for the 400 series owners now that the 580 is out, IMHO!
