You have FurMark, MSI Kombustor, OCCT and others.  FurMark and Kombustor are a bit more entertaining than a static E.

I mentioned previously that 200 series support will come, and that still stands true.

200 series support will come next month.

Uncheck  'Enable Scanner' if you don't want it to be static. It is static when you are scanning for artifacts like ATItool. Kombustor and FurMark don't have these modes afaik.

ATI Tool = very hard to get to work in Vista/Win 7 64, even booting without driver signing its touchy.

Furmark = Bug introduced in last Build for Custom RES Windowed Mode (which I need).

GPU- Tool, still on 1st build from ages ago and officially not supported 200 series going by forums (works but at times acts up).

**** has entertainment got to do with it ?

I want something that made for my card and supported well.

It is not designed to be entertaining, the E is static because OC Scanner detects and reports artifacts.

None of these tools seem to be any good at testing memory overclocks for me.

The 5xxx series were much easier because the frame rate would drop as the memory error correcting kicked in.

I know but what's the point of running it with the scanner disabled?  Anyway I was joking, I prefer whatever puts the most load on the video card.

Having the scanner disabled should put more load on the GPU. Having it enabled may make it easier to test overclock settings and get error reporting back.

Cool, thanks for the info.  So I guess I should do two runs with the OC Scanner after overclocking - one with the scanner and one without.

It's great that the OSI finally works with artifact scanning enabled, but the OSI lacks the most important piece of information you can have in that mode: the actual artifact count.

If you're running something small like 512x512, you can simply look at the top of the window to check the artifact count. If you're running in fullscreen mode, however, in order to check the artifact count you still have to Alt+Tab through your currently active windows to check such information.

It's great that the OSI finally works with artifact scanning enabled, but the OSI lacks the most important piece of information you can have in that mode: the actual artifact count.

Yes, actually that was an oversight, the next version will have this.

None of these tools seem to be any good at testing memory overclocks for me.

The 5xxx series were much easier because the frame rate would drop as the memory error correcting kicked in.

tell me about it; i had it set perfectly with 0 artifacts and couldnt figure out why crysis kept blue screening on me

then i realized it didnt like the mem that high; i had to drop it back 150mhz

Unlock power draw puts more stress on the card, you can customize it less/more with the timing.

I believe I may have found an issue with the latest OC Scanner 1.21 when running in full screen mode with GPU Protection on (100C). When the threshold is met the program will stop with notification windows that reopen indefinitely stacking on top of each other. Resulting in the need to end the program in task manager.

I mentioned previously that 200 series support will come, and that still stands true.

200 series support will come next month.

Had I seen this, I would've been more polite last time. My bad, for sure - and no excuse.
