The humidity here is pretty rough, but its only in the 80's here. I would certainly look into bringing ambient temps down first.

boredgunner Is silver too corrosive to be used on a water block? Do you mean those silver coils, or do you mean to silver plate a waterblock?

Silver doesnt react with most elements, copper included. Its safe. Also, copper, silver, and gold are all in the same column (and are a part of the same element group - transition metals) of the periodic table - they wont react negatively with each other since they all have the same number of electrons in their outer shell. ~Fus

Hey nate, I would be interested in a simular waterblock, but one thats more tailored to just watercooling with a pasive fanless Short fin'ed heatsink, to give extra cooling to the waterloop without an extra fan on it. If you think you can, let me know because I would like to have a more "custom" one built that could be nickle platted

Good question. I think a few minutes on the belt sander might do the trick. Is there a specific height you require, or can't go over because of something?

You better get a patent. There are none for combo air and water blocks. You could be a millionaire (well, maybe make a couple grand if another company wants to buy the patent). It must be enjoyable for you to make these blocks and see what comes of them. My questions is where you buy the copper. It is pretty expensive in large blocks like that, not to mention the loss after milling.
