He could use a 1000 watt for 2 cards and system and a 750 watt for 2 cards. Messy...I did that for a bit before I upgraded power supplies. His sig says a 1500 watter is going in. Not sure if it is enough by itself. lol

it is always fun to see other people spend alot of money and break the synthetic records! Have fun with is all, one word overkill. Unless you are designing an HD movie all that power is not needed. oh well it will be fun to see your results

I cant even picture my face after seeing this... Where did you get the money?!?!?! Also, you need an sr2 so there is no cpu bottleneck, OCed to 4.4 of course, at least. Ans liquid cooling on those cards, or the place will explode. BTW, connect the water radiator and make some toast.. Happy with a gtx 260 here... well, mostly.

SteveMR2T you are going to love your new Silverstone PSU. I have had mine for a month or so now. I purchased mine in anticipation of the 480's as I am buying 3 X 480 FTW Hydro-Coppers as soon as they release the damn things. It should run your entire system no problem all by itself.

I won't be dropping cash on 4-way 480 SLi either and I don't feel the need to criticize the OP's decisions unless he starts sending me the bills.

I got as far as shoehorning them into the case last night, added a couple of extra fans for better cooling flow & added the silverstone powersupply. I'll see if I can get it up an running tonight. As an FYI getting the 4th card into place is tough due to the location of some connectors (USB / case to MB power on switches etc) I sold a Springfield M1A / JAE 100 to fund this project for those asking.....

The image above is my current best score playing around for ~ 1 hour. So Far, this is what I have found. 4 way SLI = lower Vantage score than 3 way SLI by ~ 4000 point. 3 Way SLI is available option on NVIDIA setup, if you plug in all 4 cards, only SLI appears.

37k with tri-SLI at 800/1600/2000 sweet. I just got 28639 with OC'd 470 SLI. I think 4 way is gonna be too much. You might be better off with 3 because I imagine everything will be CPU limited.
