cesatvrai here is my score for comparison sake 5970 - 960/1180 You need to turn off replication. That will increase your FPS on ATi cards and the default for the thread is to be off.

How about we benchmark according to this? http://www.overclock.net/...n-benchmark-2-0-a.html Render: Direct X 11 Mode: 1680x1050 fullscreen Shaders: high Textures: high Filter: trilinear Anisotropy: 16x Occlusion: enabled Refraction: enabled Replication: off Volumetric: enabled Anti-Aliasing: default Tessellation: extreme There's even a bunch of ATI cards for you to compare to on that list. Crossfire, Trifire, quadfire and look at the last few pages where the Fermis posted their scores. Seems like the ATI cards need to move on down in the Heaven 2.0 table.

flamingaxe791 yeah, i shouldn't compare the gtx 480 with a 5970 because the 5970 is faster, sorry guys. The thread is supposed to be about what scores you get in heaven 2.0 with a GTX 480. No one cares that you have a 5970. You don't have to post in every thread about your 5970. It's getting old.... We know a 5970 gets a better score than a GTX 480 jeez. Why do people feel the need to constantly justify their purchases? Go be happy with your 5970.. and post your scores in a thread about the 5970.

I know its more far to compare two cards that directly compete against eachother, but in reality as computer enthusists, shouldnt we be comparing based on price/value? I mean ya the GTX 480 appears to be going very well against ATI's duel gpu card, but nvidia doesnt appear to have any dual 400 series cards atm- so it would seem fair that Nvidias top card be compared agains ATI's top card. I care more about money (that i'm about to spend) as a statistic than the fellings the graphics cards may feel if unfairly compared.

Thanks guys, no doubt GF100 runs Unigine brilliantly, more people are getting 470/480s in and at a $700 pricepoint for 2x470 I think that would be a compelling alternative compared to a 5970. We should see some results with those in the next few days. Lotta 470s sold from Newegg and TD over the last few days.

goldentiger As promised... at 1920x1200 vs the 5970 @ 1920x1080 197.41 drivers. I'd say this is pretty comparable that 5970 shot you posted due to the much higher minimums and still-solid average... and this is just an oc'd GTX 470, not even an OC'd GTX 480 =). It also costs HALF the amount ($350 for a GTX 470 vs. $700 for a Radeon 5970). EDIT: Just noticed Replication was enabled in yours, I will re-run with it enabled and post back. EDIT2: I can't find the setting to enable it inside the benchmark... can anyone advise where it is set at? Good god if you guys are gonna bench at least turn af to 16 and use extreme tesselation pfft

Yah I'd like to see the most extreme settings and base my expectations off of that. Nothing is better then gaming at max quality. When i do benches. I'm not going to bench unless I bench at max settings. I'd do a few lower quality settings, but it's no fun looking at good frame rate and then say "oh but wait, its LOW QUALITY, meh forget it"... It's completely fufilling when you can look at a bench and say "wow thats great, but was it maxed? YES IT WAS! Great job! victory!"... That's peaceful! So I don't even bother looking at many of the benches because they aren't using TES or higher settings. To everyone benching, try using max settings first, then going lower. It will make your time more valuable!

I am absolutely sure that you will be absolutely fine if you don't try to make absolute truth your absolute goal, or make another absolute out of an absolute truth, because making an absolute out of an absolute is absolutely rediculous you know.Â

Well i've heard of some having small hiccups at the beginning of the bench that causes such low FPS. I think it will fix itself. I'm not sure what people are doing to fix it, but they've all gotten over that. I hope you fix yours basicallyevolve

I wonder it anyone is cheating from within the benchmark.... If you go to tesselation and turn all 3 scales to the left, you get a major increase in your FPS, even though it states on the summary page that they used "extreme tesselation"!

You can tell if someone is cheating by having someone with the same card to run it. The min. FPS will be a dead giveaway.
