Its harder on those sort of sites as theyre uploading to a specific directory but not telling you where. I found another free hoster (made a forum topic in here somewhere) but likely it would be the same issue.

Problem is you dont have a direct link to YOUR space.

Like mine, which would be, http://sleinous.dyndns.in...ingkody7839/status.xml

Also whats not helping is you're not putting "status.xml" at the end of the URL, you NEED to do this or it WONT save the xml is what I found.

I see...that makes sense. I was wondering if it did connect if it would just dump the file on the root or if I'd need to hammer down deeper as to where to put it.

    Thanks again.

Sorry if this has been asked and addressed, i searched and couldnt find the answer, im using this GPU tracker V2 on one of my rigs with two 580s and in the project list it shows both GPU's folding the same project, is this normal? Are the project split amongst them or is there something i need to change in the setup?

Its normal, a particular project can have hundreds of GPUs working on it as it is split into smaller sections :) The 2 sections youre working on wont be identical :)

Thanks! i just had a moment of thinking my poor 580 was at 100 percent usage and spitting out raw data into the internets just for fun! Glad i started using this program, for some reason on the v7 i was only getting around 35-40 percent gpu throttle, could be why my 24hr avg. was so low. Hope to pick it up a notch!

I'm using a combination of the tracker and v7.  Haven't had any problems with either.

I need to run v7 to get the new core_16 for my hd5850.  I'm very happy the the new changes for the amd gpu's.  Running 2 clients on my 5850 is netting me about 11k ppd.  Over 2x the points with a gpu2.  Hopefully some changes after the beta will bump it up even more.

Im running another rig with two 5870's, this core_16 you speak of is in both beta versions or is there something special i need to do to get the most out of these two dinosaurs? Thanks  Edit: I added the "client-type" "advanced" in both gpu spots....does it start the new config after current project or do i need to start from scratch? or.....Sorry i wont bug again, i know this probably isnt the right thread to be asking this stuff in.

                        Yes.

                        Pause the gpu's

Go to configure > slots > select a gpu and click edit.  Go down to extra slot options and click add.  Then under the name put "client-type"  (without quotes) and for the value put "advanced"

Then go into the data folder and delete the Cores folder, then start up the gpu's and it will download the core16 and start it up.

Some more info on running 2 clients on each card, = more ppd.  I'm getting an extra 2-3k ppd doing this with 1 hd5850

I hear ya its about time the newer ati cards are getting fully utilized.

I'm hoping after the beta we can get up into the 12-15k ppd range.  Thats gonna boost the ati laden teams, unfortunately I don't think evga is one of them, lol.

Pause the gpu's, then go into the v7 data folder and delete the cores folder, and turn them back on.

I'm running the 11.3.  Try exiting v7 and then delete the cores and the work folder, then fire it back up.

haha.  I'm running the latest beta too.   It might help to reinstall it.   The problem might be it is a beta, lol.

All I did after a fresh install was pause it after it started, set up the "client-type" "advanced", deleted the cores folder and restarted it and it downloaded the new core and away it went.  Then I set up the second client, and clicked start and it fired right up on the 2nd client also.

EDIT:  I do have mine installed in a folder I created on my desktop called FAH v7 (under custom install), and I made a V7data folder in that.  And I installed the program to the folder and the data into the data folder.

ok, you have to go to configure > slots > add > tick the gpu circle then set it to which gpu to use.  "0" will be the top one, 1 will be the 2nd gpu.  Then enter the client-type advanced again.  Do that twice, one for each gpu.

After its all done it should show 4 folding slots 2 per gpu id.

                                              Here's mine with 1 gpu

This is a FANTASTIC! program. It makes it much easier for new folders like myself to use multipule gpu clients. I had spent quite some time trying to manually set up gpu0 and gpu1 executables and aparently I made a mistake in the process and still ended up only getting my first video card running. Thanks to this great program instead of wasting time I am able to get folding with multipule gpus even faster. I think i am even going to put my old 8800 in the machine so I can get even more out of it. I really cant thank you enough.

If you are going to run additional flags, like for beta team testing, you have to run the clients outside of the Tracker AFAIK. Unless there is a way to put them into the config file.
