Version 3.47 has been released. This version corrects a number of issues with psummary and the Tracker's own internal projects list. The most significant problems include bonus points calculation being applied to WUs that don't have bonus points and the last line of psummary being ignored.

This is what I didnt quite understand earlier. SMP folding showing to me getting around 20k PPD, but I only get that 8955 points after about 3 days of folding. BUT, it shows my stats that I have got 122.060 points. But they are not showing in my folding user summary. http://img204.imageshack../i/foldingsmppoints.jpg/ So is my settings correct? or need to do something? Thanks

To get bonus points for SMP WUs you need to have a passkey, have at least 10 WUs completed, and have at least 80% of all SMP WUs returned within the deadline.

This is because there is no way to tell if a user is eligible for bonus points. As a result, the Tracker will assume bonus points are awarded for any WU completed within the deadline. This isn't a problem once you complete 10 WUs since the points will match up after that.

Different computers won't get the same WUs even if they have the same machine IDs. The Tracker automatically sets machine IDs 1-10 for the clients that it controls.

I am using a GTX 465 and a GTS 250. While running FAH GPU Tracker I was clicking around becoming familiar with the UI. I happened to click on GPU1: and found out that the user name was anonymous and the team is blank... GPU:0 has my name and my team(EVGA). Will it still send to EVGA under my name?

I assume you opened the client status viewer? If so, that name/team combination is the one being used for the WU on that client. The next WU will use your name/team automatically, but there is nothing you can do to get points for the current one.

tomhyde2 My Tracker V2 reports: SMP PPD: 25,140 GPU0 PPD: 18,432 Should I do something to make better use of my SMP? Well, alot depends on your system specs and how much you fold. If you can post what your running and if you will be running your CPU 24/7 then we can make some recommendations. But thats pretty good PPD for and SMP

thats a nice set up but for now I would stick to the -SMP with -advmethods flag. You need at least 10 of these before you can qualify for the bonus. You also need a passkey from Stanford. If you have all of that the great. The week you can fold 24/7, enable the -bigadv button in the config tab. It should only take you 2 days to finish a bigadv with the 2600k's That would get you around 73-80k depending on how fast you finished, also depends on the work unit. Some are way slower then other.

tomhyde2 My Tracker V2 reports: SMP PPD: 25,140 GPU0 PPD: 18,432 Should I do something to make better use of my SMP? Be very happy I only get around 3400 ppd with my i7 920 overclocked to 3.2 and around 10 to 12,000 for my GTX480. Some times when I start up though it shows double+ the ppd for a while then it goes back to around those numbers above. Any reason why it does that or is that to be expected?

How do the top folders get millions of points? I think my rig could produce about 4 million points a year. I see the EVGA leader has 147 million points. Am I correct is thinking he has Tracker in his friends computers running under his Name and Passkey?

Am I correct is thinking he has Tracker in his friends computers running under his Name and Passkey? Nope, he was a major contributor to this team long before I released the Tracker. Besides, from what I have seen on the forums here he gets most if not all of the points from his own hardware anyway.

Many of the top EVGA folders have multiple set ups. The SR-2 with dual xeon CPU's alone can produce over 100,000 a day. @Diff. I had a 720 OC to 3.8, I would run the bigadv's. I would get around 73,000 points from that every two and a half days. And you should get around 14 a day drom your GPU. Try downloading Process Lasso and change you affinities and priorities. PM me if you need help. @Tom. It's all up to you with that system, if you fold 24/7 you can probably get between 1.2 and 1.5 million a month if you get all good work units.

Version 3.51 has been released. This version adds an option to automatically get the EOCID for the current name/team. Note that this option only works if the name/team exists in the EOC stats, so you have to complete at least 1 WU before this will work.

sorry if this has been mentioned before, but GPU tracker is saying i have about 10k extra points than i truly do (GPU tracker says 252k OEC says 240k) i think this might be because of the way i complete my -BigAdv's but anything is possible, any suggestions? P.S with the bigadv's even tho i have an i7 920 at 4ghz i pause it to play a game here and there, usually leave about 10 hours left on the deadline

P.S with the bigadv's even tho i have an i7 920 at 4ghz i pause it to play a game here and there, usually leave about 10 hours left on the deadline This is because the Tracker has no way to tell if a WU will get bonus points aside from being completed within the deadline. Your first 10 SMP WUs won't get any bonus points, but the Tracker will assume that they do. (since there is no way to tell if you have completed the 10 WU requirement) After that the points difference comes down to very small differences in the time that the Tracker records for WU start/end and the times kept by Stanford's servers. (since bonus points depend on how fast the WU is returned)

FAH GPU Tracker update coming? http://foldingforum.org/viewtopic.php?f=55&t=17695 upcoming core changes (bigadv will switch from A3 to A5) by kasson » Wed Feb 23, 2011 8:45 pm Just a heads-up: we are planning to migrate bigadv from running on Core A3 to running on Core A5 very shortly. Core A5 utilizes the same codebase as A3, but pegged to specific version snapshots. We have 64-bit Linux, Win32, and 64-bit OS/X versions of the core in testing; the initial release will likely be Win32 & Linux. The new core will require a client upgrade; A5 will require version 6.34 or later. The Linux and Win32 versions of the 6.34 client will be released to the public very shortly. If you are running bigadv work units, please upgrade your clients. That will ease the transition as we start turning Core A5 bigadv projects on and turning Core A3 bigadv projects off.
