lol wut?   What are these various fixes?  Woulda thought you'd atleast try and sugar coat this bios into making it look like it was the bios we'd all been waiting for.

The other fixes are some smaller items, like cleaned up BIOS, fix some labeling, etc.

Kewl! For the first time ever, once I set my memory from automatic to XMP and rebooted, it now reads correctly at 2133!

Did a shut down and restart to make sure it will post. Ran a quick MemTest86, and no errors.

            I iz happy!

              x79 FTW
XMP Profile 1 now works with Corsair Vengeance Blue 16GB (4x4GB) DDR3 2133 MHz (PC3 17000) Desktop Memory (CMZ16GX3M4A2133C11B) Testing with the same settings as my x79 SLI Motherboard
I did have to drop the CPU from 43 down to 42. Stable at 43 after setting memory to: Manual settings of 11-11-11-27 and volts set to 1.5. Also note that my high Temp now is only 86 and before was 90-91. Tested ALL USB Port and no issues fond with using any USB 3 Ports with USB 3 Devices and no issues found with using USB 1.x or 2.0 on all the USB 2 Ports.
Update Feb 10: (lost all my updates in this post, this is the short version) Stable now at 4400 MHz, never could I stay stable at 4400MHz. So yes this Updated Bios Did make a deference for me on my x79 FTW from version 41.
Still get the Beeeeeeeb on B4 on power up no be deal.
              I can still only use Gen3 Gen3 Gen2 Gen3 settings.
When set to Gen3 Gen3 Gen3 Gen3 settings the pc will not boot.
              No other issued noted.
I take it we still should use your current Overclock Guide for the X79. (Tested and yes it works)
              Thanks EVGA & JacobF
              Bill

              Update
              x79 SLI
XMP Profile 1 fails with Corsair Vengeance Blue 16GB (4x4GB) DDR3 2133 MHz (PC3 17000) Desktop Memory (CMZ16GX3M4A2133C11B) using manual settings works fine of 11-11-11-27 and volts set to 1.5
I can still only Overclock to 43 when set to 44 the Bios shows 44 but Windows 8 only shows 43
              No other issue noted.

Hmm on my X79 SLI, the memory setting for Command Rate doesn't seem to be working. I set it to 1T in the BIOS, but it stays at 2T for some reason.

It worked fine in BIOS 41 though. I'll see if it was just something I goofed on.

Is there a link or something where I could see the full list of fixes. Interested especially in the "Various other fixes" part.
                  Thank you.

                    For me a big fail..
Overclocking issues are still here, It needs too much VCore for frequencies that another board can reach easily!
As before over 4.7Ghz I'm not stable and It's impossible to boot at 5+ Ghz..

About rams, now It seems impossible to set the command rate @1T, WHY??
And as before If I don't change the BCLK Ratio I can't boot into Windows in CL9, I can only in CL10!
If I chance the BCLK Ratio I Can boot also in CL9, like before..

Doesn't mind the memory, but why did EVGA make a motherboard designed for overclocking and enthusiast users that is a fail in overclocking?? Very sad..

Looks like it may have fixed my USB 3.0.  I now have all ports enabled, and I have a few devices plugged in for testing purposes.  No problems thus far.  Was not able to do this on 041.

However it did not fix my overclocking at all...in fact it seems to have made it worse.  I still can't touch the Bclk without losing ethernet and all USB, and now I can't get my memory back up to 1866mhz where it ran fine on 041.

                        I'll keep working at it.

                            Nevermind, USB not fixed.

Doesn't look like this update has accomplished anything at all.

Grrr.. just updated from 041 to 044 and now I can't boot from my SSD because the Boot Manager Window is missing.  Tried reverting back and same issue.  I remember having this happen before but can't recall how I fixed it.

I seriously doubt that the USB issues can be fixed with a BIOS update...

Is there a link or something where I could see the full list of fixes. Interested especially in the "Various other fixes" part.
                                  Thank you.

Most are listed in the readme file.

                                    Nevermind, USB not fixed.

Doesn't look like this update has accomplished anything at all.

                                    Shame.

                                    What is this USB issue?

Very sad..

On my Rampage IV Formula running at 4,999 MHz with the Intel Core i7-3970X Extreme Edition Processor
my vCore is set at 1.4 and is stable. Once the x79 Dark is out it will replace my Rampage IV Formula Motherboard.

I'm not sure if anything got fixed at all.
                                        PCI 3.0 still won't work
XMP Profile 1 on Corsair Vengeance just freezes, requiring a CMOS reset.
Trying out USB 3.0 ports to see if any errors come up.
Shame, such a good board, but it seems like a recall should have been announced a while ago.
Wasn't there a time where the 1st P67 chipset boards were recalled due to an Intel issue?

Ya I'm not looking forward to upgrading my bios right now. I disabled USB3 because it doesn't work at all. RMA'd 3 times and I have gotten a K2 now and it still doesn't work correctly, honestly I have given up on EVGA. This bois does not seem to fix any of the real issues with the board. I'm skeptical about the DARK board. But maybe time will tell.

Non functional USB 3.0 ports.  They are intermittent.  They work for awhile, then just disconnect.

Oh and if I set my Bclk to ANYTHING other than 100, they stop working altogether along with my ethernet ports.
