Hmmm...EVGA has pulled this PSU from their store. Verrry interesting. For those of us with units in hand or units on the way - should we be worried? (Usually they would go out of stock and just have "notify" as an option - not completely pull it out of the store!)...

I know this seems trivial but apparently these don't ship with the 4 6-32 screws (preferably black) that hold it in the case.  Might want to change that.  ALL my other PSU's came with them.

    Just a suggestion.

      Um, that isn't good lmao.
FYI:  There is also currently no support option for PSU's when you call.  I spoke with a nice guy named Matt.  He said since they just released, it hasn't been added.  I had called to ask about the screws that I was missing.

Yikes! This sounds a lot like why Phaedrus2129 said he/she quit EVGA (reference link: http://www.overclock.net/t/1291367/evga-supernova-nex1500-classified):

EVGA top management, however, doesn't understand power supplies but doesn't like to admit not understanding things, so made some bad decisions regarding the future of EVGA's PSU venture.
I left the company in protest.
There is only one person left at EVGA who understands power supplies and he's in Taiwan and no longer attached to the project.
This is a good product, and I recommend it; but there are going to be some severe growing pains as EVGA learns how to support power supplies and decides what they want to do with them in the future.

Enough for me to stay away from them. Won't even consider getting one.

Sanyo Denki is inside, Yes. I know I talk to people look middle is almost bigger than E sign, that something top class fan.
                San Ace 9G1212P4G03 AXIAL FAN, 120MM, 12VDC, 900mA

That fans is best for this, I have in X-750 San Ace 120 older version. Usually is off but when start to on 15-20sec after that PSU is cold like... But you hear - nothing but cooling is striking when feel cold air on back side and than fan stop.
You know about complain for fan inside AX1200 but not so much on AX650/750/850. Again in AX1200i is Yate Loon 140mm same like in AX1200 and in younger brothers is San Ace 120.

                In NEX is this version
                http://elcodis.com/parts/2845100/9G1212P4G03.html#datasheet

You can't imagine how much these is better than YT 140 and how much better than in some Enermax most exspensive PSU and CM Gold.
Someone talk about CM PSU before few days... So important part of PSU and excellent choice, best possibile choice.

Uh, the only PSU manufacturer that's remotely possibly better than Enermax is Seasonic. Their fans, which they also manufacture themselves, have a rock-solid reputation for dependability and low noise.

I'm not sure whether you are saying this PSU is made entirely by Sanyo Denki, or just the fans. If you are saying they make the whole thing - sorry, bubba, Sanyo Denki doesn't make PSUs. They make great fans, no argument there, but that fact that their fans have a reputation for being fine fans doesn't mean Enermax fans aren't just as good or better.

                ;)

Interesting.  All my Corsair units and Antec units came with them.  Not a big deal but for $450 ($500 total) you would expect everything, right?

Considering each screw would cost them less then 5 cents each, yes I would think so.

Kinda weird though that they wouldn't have support for it on the first day either. Guess there plan is just have users RMA till tech staff can get known issues and resolutions?

Maybe?  When I spoke with him, he basically (in a nice way) told me to use my standard case screws. Just seems like something they should have included, but I won't get my panties in a bunch.  I will tell you this:  I wish I could take that damned handle OFF.  It presented some problems installing in my U2UFO cutout in the back.  I could only get in 3/4 screws.

I'm pretty sure those four screws that hold the PSU onto the case typically come with the case, not the PSU. Who buys an elite 1500w PSU and doesn't have four extra standard PC machine screws lying around?

                            Who is the OEM?

Yeah, who is the OEM? Please?

Also, is there any kind of device to make sure the cord stays connected to the PSU? This usually isn't a problem, and less so on a quality PSU with a good power cord (There is absolutely a great reason to have a 12AWG power cord here. In fact, with this powerful of a PSU there's no way I'd consider buying one with anything less. The bigger the actual wire size, the cooler the cord stays. Heat, as you all know, is bad for electrical and electronic parts.), but I have seen them loosen up over time and accidents can happen.

Every PSU I've purchased, from 400W to 1200, has come with mounting screws.

All 3 cases I've purchased came with mounting screws for the PSU too, but yeah, for $449.99, I expect high quality, color-coordinated screws. Wouldn't cry about it if I bought one of these, but I expect a high end manufacturer to pay attention to the details.

Heat, as you all know, is bad for electrical and electronic parts.), but I have seen them loosen up over time and accidents can happen.

                                  ;)

The cord fits tightly however there is no latch that will keep it there:

OEM is Etasis but it is a heavily modified design.

Tight-perfect, Seasonic X-750 i change 3 cables until find one good. Others I can pull of with 2 fingers easy.
Seasonic came with some silver I remember I ask why silver why not black, but I have one or two more sets black screews for PSU.

They make great fans, no argument there, but that fact that their fans have a reputation for being fine fans doesn't mean Enermax fans aren't just as good or better.
                                         ;)

Noo I mean on fan of course only and I agree Seasonic is better than Enermax but I both don't care two much on anything else only on good unit and nothing else, cables, support, no sleeve, lose warranty, you got silver screew with black unit. Totaly without any thinking on enthusiast and improve some other things. They can, easy, but don't care and we pay much. Why to make black wires they make yellow/black/red together in some mesh sleeve I don't know how to call that. If you want single that is on you, loose 5-7 years warranty and pay 100-150 more and destroy finger if you want they don't care to much. Yes their units is 5% better than similar Gold and others again not care two much because my all PC is red or black and I have yellow rings and yellow, red, black wires in therible sleeve all wires together.

So far, so good.  I will be booting the rig up tomorrow morning.  I just got the loop leak tested again (with 4 cards, the last one covers the darned USB header so I had to take it apart again so I could plug in the NEX usb plug to run the software).

This is quite an incredible unit.  There are LOTS of cables and they are very nicely done.  The build quality appears first rate.

Hmmm...EVGA has pulled this PSU from their store. Verrry interesting. For those of us with units in hand or units on the way - should we be worried? (Usually they would go out of stock and just have "notify" as an option - not completely pull it out of the store!)...

I have not checked the US store, but the PSU is available on the EVGA EU store. I do not think you should be worried, if there were reason to, it would also have disappeared from the EU store.

It is good to read that it feels like a quality product. :-)

Wait so these barely came out? I saw this at my local Fry's Electronics store about a month and a half ago just sitting on the shelf. Weird.

Hi.. I would like to know if i were to purchase this power supply in the US, will i be able to use it in Malaysia? I see the plug is different. Can i just get one of those adapters to use it?

Etasis?  Yes that's a very nice OEM.  Solid OEM in the server PSU field.  Looking at the uncovered pic I'd say it looks like one of their builds!

Is that the supplied power cord as well?
