UPDATED TO 1.7.2.5/v034!!

 
I created a small package with some .cmd files to run the game. No need to create any custom shortcuts. No typing necessary.    
 
You just download, extract, and double click. That's it!
 
Here is what the readme says...
Extract ALL files to your operation arrowhead folder. (If you do not have a operation arrowhead folder, extract the files to the same folder where ArmA2OA.exe is located (usually located @ C:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive\Arma 2 ) )
 
Double click "Lingor_Island.cmd" to play! <=== must be along side ArmA2OA.exe to work!
NOTE: There are 2 ways to find servers. One is to type Lingor in your filter and look for the yellow question marks on the left side of the server list. These are the servers you can join. The other way is to type 34 in the filter. These are all the updated servers. There will be more as time goes by.

 
To play regular DayZ. Double Click "Play_DayZ.cmd"

If you just want the .cmd files that launch the game correctly you can download them here. Make sure you place them inside your operation arrowhead folder. For those who do not have a operation arrowhead folder, place them in the same folder where arma2oa.exe is located ("C:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive\Arma 2")

Play_Lingor_Island.cmd

Note: These files MUST be placed along side ArmA2OA.exe  (Where Operation Arrowhead is installed)

I tried the download. The CMD commands do not work 
 
But the downloads do work. If i launch this command line.
 
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\Expansion\beta\arma2oa.exe" -beta=Expansion\beta;Expansion\beta\Expansion -nosplash
 
It launch's Lingor Island. I think the mods are set to launch in my Expansions.

If the cmd files did not work then you didnt follow the instructions. Or for some reason they just dont work for you.

Ya i followed them. 
 
I think it don't work because i created a link for steam to put Arma 2 on my ssd, but steam games on my hdd.
 
That or computers just don't like me  (Shsssss, don't let them hear that i said that.)
 
O well, i figured out how to turn lingor on and off. Just use the expandable. 
 
Anyhow, keep up the good work.

I create shortcuts for non-steam game so I can take screenshots and save them on steam to share with friends.
Its basically 3 lines, each grouped by quotation marks and seperated by 1 space.

Take notice of where the 1st and 3rd lines point to.

Altogether it will look like this in your target line.
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\Expansion\beta\arma2oa.exe"  "-beta=Expansion\beta;Expansion\beta\Expansion" "-mod=C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2;Expansion;ca;@lingor;@dayz_lingor" -nosplash <=== this gets rid of intro logos
 
Just click add non-steam game and find operation arrowhead exe (ArmA2OA.exe). You should now see ArmA2OA in your library as a non-steam shortcut. Right click properties on it and rename it to DayZ Lingor. Then click anywhere in the target bar and then press Ctrl+A and then hit backspace. This will delete everything in that line. Now copy paste your custom target line like I showed you above.

Ok so... it took me a while to download/install  & figure out how to get the damn thing to run!! (That's just for ArmaII lol)
 
I'm now downloading the files above, let's see if it works!
Hopefully I won't need to battle my registry to make it happen this time! lol

Worked beautifully for 2 dayz, but yesterday and today I have gotten infinite loading screens. I restarted my computer, modem, router multiple times to no avail. Reinstalled the Lingor files, still nothing. Reinstalled dayz, nothing. reinstalled arma2 CO and latest dayz and the lingor files, and I've still been on the loading screen for 3 and a half hours this morning. Tried different servers and different Arma keys, but nothing has worked. Help?

Its probably the dayz hive (central server) 
 
Check the dayz forums and see if lots of other people are having the same problem as you.

Some servers take longer to load...

Now at 6 and a half hours and counting. The server is a private hive server and I can't get in, but my friends can.

You spent 6 hours at the loading screen? (All black screen with small white "loading" text in the middle)
 
Try installing the latest beta patch.

something tells me it might be a router/port forwarding issue, also... the dayz forums might help too.

They get all butthurt when you mention Lingor on the DayZ forums because it isn't officially supported by Rocket.

Actually, rocket is interested in Lingor now.

Yup the official word is the standlone game will allow them to open DayZ up to the community. They will support user content and custom maps in the mod that could potentially make their way to the official DayZ game. Lingor was given as an example of this.

DayZ Lingor is fully supported in the Play withSIX software.

1. DL and Launch Play withSIX
2. Pick DayZ Lingor Mod
3. Pick and Join any of the available servers

I'm getting errors about downloadable content that has been deleted and kicked off the servers when I try to join.
 
What could this be?

If you use DayZ commander, it gives you the option to install Lingor and search servers now.

Yeah it says my files are up to date, but I get those errors with DayZ commander too.
 
I used PlayWithSix and that for some reason works without giving me the missing content errors.
