I installed a 550 ti in my new build and it has been working fine. I run two monitors with the main one using a DVI cable and the other using a VGA cable with a DVI adapter at the video card end. I shut down the computer one day and the next day when I started up monitor 2 had the start up and the other was blank. The Nvidia control panel shows both monitors but the main one is blanked out. After changing cables several times I finally got the monitor working. The only way to have both monitors working is using VGA cables with DVI adapters. I can not use DVI cables anymore. Has anyone had similar experince? Is the card defective?

i do not have a problem using a dvi cable on my hd monitor.  My other cable for my 2nd monitor is using a mini hd to regular hd cord.
