GTX 560Ti Superclocked 2nd Fan broken! Sunday, July 15, 2012 10:31 AM (permalink)
Yesterday mine GTX 560Ti Superclocked's 2nd fan broke so i had to remove it and run it with only 1 fan. Idle temperature is around 69'C. I'm able to play BF3 for like 5 minutes then whole PC freezes. Started to piss off, what to do now? Am i able to buy new 2nd fan or do i have to buy totally new cooling system for my card? If i have to buy a new cooler, what would fit in? And already thanks for the help guys!

First off, welcome to the forums.

It sounds like you just have a defective fan.  When you say that you removed it, did you actually take it out of the shroud?  If so, are you able to put it back in?  EVGA will more than likely replace the graphics card if it just is a defective fan.

I had to remove the "case" when it started to do strange noise, the fan literally got broken it lacked few wings of the propeller and then i had to cut few plastic pieces of the case. Now the card, chip and etc. works perfectly but its way too hot to run with 1 fan and games are unplayable. :/ And im not able to put the fan back cause it was useless, i threw it to trashcan.

Ok, if you can put the card back together in as much of the original condition as possible (minus the obviously broken fan blades), then there should be no problem with getting a warranty replacement.  All it will cost you is 1 direction of shipment.

It would be awesome to get it to warranity! i'll take a picture of its condition right now. It just lacks the 1 fan and the 2 plastic "covers" on the fan hole, Otherwise its like a new.

It looks to me like the card is in decent shape, but none of us, even EVGA support won't be able to say until they see it in person. Contact them to set up an RMA and when they inspect the card, you will find out what they can/cant do for you.

pcmaster00 Thanks for info and help! I sent support ticket to EVGA with those images of the condition. What do they think about it, i wait for answer then send it, if they accept it.
