Ordered some of that recommended thermal tape too. Don't want to mess with the goo included with the Accelero!

Right mate, after my nightmare with the arctic twin turbo 2 on my card , as soon as i get my refund im going to get one of these mono coolers and follow your thread. Thanks for taking the time to post all this, will come in handy to myself and many others im sure.

Im surprised your card runs that hot during your games.  My FTW card maxes out at 60C with stock cooler.  Ill be soon adding a Corsair H60 to my GPU though soon

Its not all about how hot it runs, it doesnt run that hot. It's about how poor the EVGA stock coolers are, they are noisy as hell. Awful coolers.

My mono and thermal tape is coming tomorrow, can't wait to give it a go .

Well I've just put mine together. I didn't bother putting those bottoms 2 heats inks on. When putting it back together I'm only using 4 screws total. Is that right?

Idle temps 22 celcius. fan speed 80 percent , very quiet. Will test the card properly today. Feels very flimsy, but was simple to install, I didnt use glue i used the thermal tape and put the card straight in.

Update, temps are great, but the card doesnt overclock at all. So ill be selling it, quite pointless me even buying the cooler to fit on a card that doesnt overclock.
