ok so i know there is a DOA part in my new build, just want to narrow it down, my computer has been crashing in game where i need to hard reset it and my driver crashed and now i get these red dots all over my screen and the disappear an reappear when you move the mouse and other windows around. i tried to screen a shot but i looked at it on my laptop and i didn't see anything so i am quite confused. Build is : gigabyte g1 sniper 3 board 8gb gskill ram intel 3770k cpu and other less important stuff

You should explain to us what kind of testing you have done so far. Example: tired different drives, and did a clean install of drivers ect... Also what PSU do you have for heads up notice for a little bit more info as well as monitor since it deals with displaying issues on your screen?

Make sure you used Driver Sweeper, CCleaner, and Nvidia's custom clean install option. Here some simple test to try before coming up with a conclusion. Try to run your GPU on a different PCI slot, update your motherboards bios to the latest version(if you have not), try and plug your display plug in another display port on the card due to the fact some have certain ports dead while others work, makes sure no monitor programs are running the background, try your card on a different PC, if your CPU and RAM is overclock try running it at stock clocks(this usually dose not help but worth a shot), and try to use a different cable like if your using DVI try and use HDMI and see what happens. Try all these simple fast test and see what happens and give an update on what happened. Hope this helps you out.

so i figured i would update you, i have not done everthing as listed but the red pixelations have stopped. This is what i did in order: 1. Update BIOS 2.Run CCleaner 3.Uninstall Video Card Driver (restarted and this is when it stopped) 4.Ran Driver Sweepr Restarted again and the red dots have still not come back.\ Currently i have no driver installed but i am going to do that next and lets see if that solves the issue. UPDATE : I installed drivers from the cd that came with my video card (version 301.25 ) and its seems that it is running stable. i also installed the Direct X10/11 Driver that was on the CD also, which i did not have installed before . Could that have caused a problem. Also on a separate note, i cannot see my GPU temps in Speccy but i can see them in EVGA OC Scanner X, is this a serious issue?

Just enable your GPU temps in the task-bar through EVGA precession. Also you uninstalled your driver in away I would of not uninstall it. I usually uninstall everything then run CCLeaner. After that I run Driver Sweeper, then I run CCleaner again to get the things that Driver Sweeper missed. After that I restart my computer then I just run CCleaner and Driver Sweeper again to make sure everything is gone (if not I do the whole cleaning process over again until everything is gone). If everything is good, I then do the custom clean install that Nvidia offers. I know my method is long but I am just anal when I install new drivers. Also try the other methods that I suggested as well. If you tired EVERYTHING, then we will go from there and see what we can do. At least you said that driver 301.25 seems to be running stable. Just try everything then update what happened.

Unfortunately the stability didn't last long . I downloaded 3d mark 2011 and ran the performence benchmark and about 10 seconds in , it crashed my computer. So I did the whole process again like you said , except I tried all the slots in my motherboard , but that didn't change anything . I'm thinking I just got a bad card as I just built my new rig as of last Tuesday and this weekend was the first real time I actually gamed on it for an extensive period of time . I'm just gonna go ahead and rma it with newegg and hope for the best

No you if you bought it from newegg you need to RMA it to EVGA but first register your card if you have not already.

I also RMA'd my card. It seems to be a bad FTW version. Many people have problems with the FTW version, apparently.
