550Ti FPB Overclock Thursday, July 05, 2012 9:22 PM (permalink)
Hi, well I received a 550Ti from a RMA I am wondering what can I expect for overclocking the card.
I was also wondering since this is a RMA card will evga allow me to overvolt the card? or is that prohibited?

If you mean updating the firmware to override the voltage, then thats not allowed, but as far as using like afterburner to raise the voltage to the max, that is perfectly fine.

But on that card, you dont have to max the voltage out to acheive its max OC.  You should be able to hit between 980 and 1020 Mhz on your Clock speed with a slight voltage increase. Heat shouldnt really be an issue either.
